About Havering Adult College

Havering Adult College offers hundreds of day, evening and weekend courses across Havering and surrounding areas

Havering Adult College Description

We are delighted to welcome you to the Adult College. This year you will find a variety of new and interesting courses on offer from Floristry to British Sign Language, Sweetie Trees to Complementary Therapies, GCSE's to Modern Foreign Languages, there really is something for everyone.

The Adult College uses a variety of venues across the borough, to ensure that learning takes place in the heart of our community. We are very proud of the achievements of our students and our success is based on strong partnerships within the local community, businesses and stakeholders. We have a strong commitment to equality and diversity and we are keen to welcome new and returning learners from a variety of backgrounds, ages and abilities and to meeting the needs of disadvantaged individuals and communities.

Many of our learners come to us to re-train or improve their career prospects or perhaps resume formal education after a break, whist others are learning for their own personal development. Whatever your reasons for study, we can help you achieve your ambitions.

New for this year is an extended range of arts and crafts courses, including Cake Pops and Sweetie Trees. To support those seeking work, we have introduced a range of employability programmes and short skills training courses.

Whether you want to study for pleasure or to gain a qualification, we are sure you will find a course of interest to you in this year's programme. With hundreds of courses to choose from, it really is your choice - but if you would like some help choosing, you can talk to one of our Student Services Advisers on 01708 434955.

Enrolments are open from June 2014 for all courses and you will find instructions on how to enrol in the prospectus.

Whatever you choose to do, we are sure you will have an enjoyable and rewarding time.

"There was a void when my wife died a couple of years ago. I'm now experiencing something I never thought I would experience. I'm not worried about exams or the future. I'm just living day by day and looking forward to my lectures."
