About Havering And District Amateur Radio Club
We are the Havering and District Amateur Club. We are based at the Fairkytes Arts Centre, 51 Billet Lane. Hornchurch, RM11 1AX.
Havering And District Amateur Radio Club Description
We meet each Wednesday (7. 30 pm) at Fairkytes Art Centre, Hornchurch. Fairkytes is located opposite the Queen’s theatre. Feel free to come along and say hi! We are located on the first floor.
The Havering DARC was founded in 1965 by the now long standing treasurer Oliver Tillett. Since then we have operated the Callsign G4HRC and G8HRC to name a few of our many callsigns. In just a short time the Havering DARC grew in strength and members until the members demanded that the club meet more frequently and thus the fortnightly meetings become weekly. Since those early days Oliver has steered the good ship HDARC in to the 21st century and now its presence in known on the Internet in the form of digital media. We welcome people with a common interest in Amateur radio and all things electronic. Please enjoy our page and comment until your hearts content. The very best 73 HDARC.

National Mills Weekend 2019
Havering and District Amateur Radio Club will be taking part in National Mills Weekend at Mountnessing windmill on 11th and 12th May
We have the RSGB visiting our club on the next meeting Wednesday 10th April
The club has been having data station running on more than one meeting this year. Using a Yaesu FT-991 radio and an MFJ-949E ATU
Software used WSJTX, FT8 Mode, WSPR and Ham Radio Deluxe

The Havering And District Amateur Radio Club at Queens Theatre, Hornchurch for Christmas drink 2018.
Our next and last club meeting this year will be a christmas drink at the Queen’s Theatre opposite Fairkytes. Our weekly meetings will start again on the 2nd January 2019
On wednesday 14th November there will be a talk on Decca Navigation by John G0PIA
Congratulations to Neil who passed his foundation licence exam. He now has his callsign (M6 OYY) and is on the air. Soon we will have another candidate (Tyler) who will take his foundation licence exam. We wish him good luck.
