About Haydn Green Institute For Innovation And Entrepreneurship
The institute teaches entrepreneurial skills to students and businesses, conducts research into innovation and engages with businesses via a number of initiatives.
Haydn Green Institute For Innovation And Entrepreneurship Description
In an ever more competitive job market, the ability to think creatively, spot opportunities and analyse risk is just as important for employees as it is for those who plan to start their own business.
The institute focuses on teaching entrepreneurial skills in all its modules and programmes, preparing students to be flexible and innovative in whatever role they choose.
Named as the first Entepreneurial University of the Year by The Times Higher Education in 2008, the Haydn Green Insitute supports a number of extra-curricular initiatives including the EnterpriseLab and the Student Venture Challenge business plan competition
As well as our strong record of delivering top quality academic courses and research with a focus on entrepreneurial behaviour we also engage with business on a local, national and international level through a number of initiatives:
Ingenuity Programme
Executive Education
Business Barometer
Mentoring roles
Research at the institute covers all approaches from survey based enquiry to blue sky thinking. Our comprehensive treatment of the study of innovation includes research into conditions and behaviours for both pre and post-concept innovation activities. We also undertake research into the actual impact of the pedagogical innovations in teaching and learning that we have introduced.
