Hcc Gsquad Description
Our Youth Ministry, also known as The G-Squad, is there to ensure that young people (13 – 21yrs) excel in all areas of life - spiritual, emotional, intellectual and physical.
We have designed and are implementing various programmes to ensure that these objectives are being met in a fun way and within a healthy environment.
These programmes include a mentoring scheme where every member is assigned someone they can talk to, seek and offer Godly advice on matters affecting them including family matters a College or University. We encourage peer mentoring a great deal.
We bring youths into a fulfilled life by empowering them with the truth of God’s word. They are empowered through ministrations, bible study and discipleship classes, with emphasis on practical and relevant application of the scriptures.
We have an ongoing mentoring scheme where every member is assigned someone they can talk to and seek godly advice concerning whatever they wish to address, and this includes matters at home and at school.
The G-Squad takes a proactive role in the education of its members. There is the Saturday Maths School, and English lessons are also available during the week. Workshops on exam and revision techniques and on producing excellent coursework are also held at specified intervals.
Opportunities for Youths to develop their talents and express their abilities are provided in the shape of teams such as Choir, Drama, Media and Football amongst others.
Social cohesion is encouraged through activities such as Forum discussions which provide an avenue for our Youths to express their opinions, Fun days, Variety shows and outings.
