Headstart Day Nursery Description
Headstart Day nursery is a family run business that has been opened since 1979. We believe that children need to be happy and settled before they can enjoy and learn. We aim to make the time children spend at Headstart Day Nursery a happy and fun filled one, where each child is valued and helped to reach their full potential. We believe through play children learn to construct their own knowledge about the world and at Headstart day Nursery we encourage children to explore and experiment; be creative and imaginative; socialise with others and most important of all, to have fun and enjoy their experience here.

Itβs our party and santa day today all children to do 10.30 till 1.30 (normal day if your child is full time) ,santa will be arriving at 11 with a small gift for all the children and a party buffet. The children will be singing in mini concerts at 1.30 for butterflies and 4pm for pre school today please come along to watch / join in . We wish all our children and parents a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year. We look forward to seeing you all on 8th January 2019 Debbie and the Headstart team x

This week we visited Glebe Farm Library where we had some stories read to us, played with some musical instruments and did some colouring in. Thanks very much!
It cooking time! This week the children made bread using our bread machine to go with our tomato soup for dinner! βΊοΈ
Look at all the delicious fruits! The pre schoolers had a turn at being Handa from the book βHandas surprise!β They got to try the fruit for snack after . What a delicious π and fun activity! π
Today at garden time we talked about our bodyβs and the foods that are healthy ππΌ and unhealthy ππΌ. The children did very well with pointing out all the fruit they saw in our book. We looked at the inside of our bodyβs and how we breath, our heart and where our food goes. The children enjoyed going through the book and taking part in discussions. What super stars! π€©
Butterflies and pre school took part in a sponsored walk today to raise money for Children in need! The pre schoolers also had a go at making their own pudsey bears. Well done everybody ππ€©!

Trip to the allotments! Today we saw spiders, worms and snail shells! We gave our rosemary plant a good watering! What super stars π€©
Halloween party! ππ»π·
Today the pre schoolers have been making chocolate apples and cupcakes for our Halloween party ππ»π·
The story at the library was about Autumn! After the children took part in a leaf rubbing activity. π
Todayβs music session included songs about Halloween and bonfire night π₯ ππ»π·
Pre school made yummy pizzas this week for dinner. They enjoyed kneading the dough, and helping with the toppings ! ππ
Our pre schoolers have been planting sunflowers and one has started to grow! π» π» π»
this nursery is a very friendly safe environment for children it has friendly staff who are always happy to help would highly recommend it as a great educational stepping stone in any child's start in life .
Never write reviews but I think this nursery deserves some praise. My daughter absolutely loves going, she has made really good friends, adores the staff and since she has started, she has learnt to use the toilet and regards to her personality she has just come out of herself compared to the shy girl she was. Her speech and social skills have developed tremendously. Also since my son has started the staff must have the patience of a saint haha οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½
My son has been at this nursery for a year now. All the staff are so friendly and supportive. They have helped with some of his more challenging behaviour and with referrals for other professionals. They have been there for us every step of the way and shown nothing but support. They even adapt the normal routine to help my son settle quicker. My nephew also started there in September. Since been at headstart both boys have have progressed brilliantly with speech and understanding. Will be sending my daughter and younger nephew in September! Highly recommend!
Iv sent all 3 of my children to Headstart, everyone has always taken good care of my children and made me feel at ease with leaving them.
The nursery is always clean and safe for the children taking care of all aspects of child care into consideration including days out and nursery trips. All the stag are very supportive and happy to help with any concerns. Very happy customer and would always recommend.
I have worked at headstart for nearly eight years. It has been the best experience of my life so far but now its time for me to spread my wings . I leave headstart an experienced adult . And thats all down to everyone at nursery. The love and care shown to everyone is amazing. We are all one big family and only want the best for every individual. I wish everyone at headstart all the best . I will miss u all dearly . Amy xxxx
