This month sees Carers Awards and events taking place to recognise the incredible work Carers do across the town for others #LoveHartlepool

Delirium in older adults often goes unrecognized by health care professionals and can be poorly managed. People with Dementia have a higher risk of developing delirium.

Good afternoon everyone.
We have a couple of #events to promote #championing #Carers in #Hartlepool and beyond!
First up, Carers Community Celebrations on Friday 14th June 2019, from 10am onwards at the Centre for Independent Living. The event includes useful #information for Carers and to #celebrate and champion Carers roles in day to day life.
... On the same day, from 7pm onwards, is the Hartlepool Pride in our Carers Awards! Hosted at AVenue on Lauder Street, awards will be giving to Carers, whilst also championing all the hard work Carers do for people in the town.

#Healthwatch #Hartlepool operates a #free drop-in service every Wednesday morning at the ORCEL Centre, offering support and guidance for local #health and social care issues.
A big part of our local groups is Mental Health support. The attached poster shows just some of the local organisations that can help.

A quick reminder that the Cancer Support Group is meeting this afternoon at the Central Hub. This is a weekly event and everyone is welcome, whether you or someone else is living with Cancer, or you just want some advice or a chat :)

And to end the flurry of updates we have for you all now, a Cancer Support Group will be held at the Central Hub, starting every Monday from the 18th March 2019.
