About Heatherslaw Corn Mill

The only working water mill in Northumberland situated on the banks of the River Till, where a 16ft water wheel produces stoneground wholemeal flour.

Heatherslaw Corn Mill Description

Heatherslaw Corn Mill is a 19th century working water mill open as a working museum in North Northumberland. Records show a mill on the site for the last 700 years and to this day stone ground wholemeal wheat and spelt flour is produced using power from the water wheel and available for sale in the mill shop.

Located 11 miles from Berwick Upon Tweed and 9 miles from Wooler the mill is open from 10am - 5pm Monday to Sunday end of September, the 11am-4pm during October, last entry to the mill at 45 minutes before closing to give visitors plenty of time to explore the mill and its history.
