Great staff always happy to help. I had an issue last time I travelled and I was taken to the front of the queue to ensure I got through on time

Nice Terminal but the passport control queues for non-EU are HIDEOUS! Most UN-welcome welcome after a long journey. By the time we finally got through (it took ONE hour) our luggage was standing next to the belt. What really peeves me is that UK citizens arriving in my country get Commonwealth preferential treatment and can even use the e-gates. Meanwhile our reciprocal treatment is being herded like cattle while 3 staff operate the 20 booths!! Will choose a different arrival port for EU next time like CDG or FRA.

2nd time on a connecting flight my sealed duty free bottle of perfume, bought as a gift had been opened. If this is the process I will pay more and fly direct.

the claim or u say 'apologise ', did not state clear what's the exact amount of the coast is required to get the voucher, plus, only the apologise written in Chinese mentioned this 'apologise ' is for your Chinese customer, while the English version only stated 'all customers'. Shame on you Heathrow airport , for your 3 day discussion for dis unclear 'apologise '. We ain't fool.

Very disappointing about the food options for gluten free food. Only options were rice beans and a baked potatoe. And for the sweet chocolate cake. So very dispionting. Even when i wemt for a coffee there were biscults and if needed a gulten free option ask the staff. They said they dont do it any more. Need to do more British airways

Shame on you!

Quote from another reader:

Just read that Heathrow Airport provide customers who spent more than certain amount an VIP voucher that can be used on the subsequent purchases, and yet the amount to get the voucher varies on the customers' nationalities, with Chinese customers, they can vary from 250 pounds to 1000 pounds, and yet customers from other countries will only need to spend 79. When this was confronted by a Chinese customer, LHR not only can't provide proper explanations and without proofs. This is discrimination and should not be tolerated in any means. We should support by boycotting purchase any products from LHR unless LHR provides an proper resolution. I will personally not buying anything from Heathrow any more and I will not choose LHR as a transfer point.

Really rude and unforgivable, will tell all the friends around me do not spend money in your duty free shop, and also will not choose your airport to be the transfer point forever.

Stew in your's own juice.

I’ve been through nine airports in the last four weeks and every passport control officer that has processed me has been friendly and professional. It’s an unbelievably bad look for tourists looking to spend money in your city when your passport control officer is as rude and aggressive as she was. This is going down as the “worst moment” of my four week holiday.

Ive been to Heathrow Terminal 5 before and remember the Bag Checking at Security being pretty intense which is fine but i dont remember passport checks to go get your baggage to leave the airport being so insane.

We had to stand in a queue honestly 25-28 rows deep and approximately 10m long each.

Im not sure what causes the Non-EU/Non-UK area to be such a huge problem but they need to cater for these lines better.

Yes they had to bring out trolleys of water for everyone, but the lines were ridiculously long and horrendous.

Im not sure why they were moving so slow with so many spots open, but it was really bad.

Im only 38, but i have 4 chronic illnesses one being chronic migraineous vertigo so it almost triggered an episode. But thanks to an American couple from Minnesota who gave me a lollie it stopped it.

So i was thinking if it was that awful for me how horrible it must have been for all the older people in that line probably with worse conditions to manage or those parents there with kids.

I would like to say this isnt the fault of the airlines as this part is not managed by the airline and my flight and experience flying with British Airways has always been great, but maybe Heathrow need to look at employing more people for passport check booths to make it faster or improving the time it takes for visitors to London to get through the checks to get there luggage to head to Central London. As two hours in line to leave Security areas is pretty unacceptable and i thought LA Airport was bad, but this experience topped even LA.

I'm an independent private hire driver waiting for my passengers.

Plane arrives at gate at 08.07 and I'm still waiting for bags to be delivered at 08.52 - this terminal is a joke.

What with you recently increasing your parking charges this really is an unpleasant experience.

You are costing me a fortune, thank you x

I'll never ever purchase anything from the duty free shop at Heathrow Airport

I couldn’t believe it when I heard about racial discrimination happens in Heathrow Airport Duty Free shop to Chinese customers. Are we in UK? Do we support Racism? Don’t try to fool your customers and also we are not idiots. There is more than one way to skin a Cat. The Duty Free Shop have a policy which is for Chinese who spend over 1000pound and can get 20% off discount vouchers, but for other nationalities they only need spend £79 and they can get the vouchers. A manager there said to a Chinese staff:“I know it’s a little bit unfair ” Well, if £1000 to £79 is a little bit difference to this manager, than why he’s doing such a shameless thing? People who made this policy are sooooo low. You are nothing with out Chinese customers. Shame on you.

I wish you good luck with your business. BTW, there are already over 13010000 people have read the news on Weibo in China until now.

Everyone is always shouting, the bag Check was all messy, didn't care who's was first, when it came out it was my stuff, someone else's stuff and then my stuff family's again, I look at the other guy, he looked at this problem the same. Then the worst part was the boarding gate didn't show until boarding time was close. We couldn't do any shopping inside the terminal because we had to look to see if it was gate A B or C cos you need a train to get there.. We don't wanna rush.

Disgusted.

Arrived from Canada and had to wait along with another flight, at passport control with only 2 people on the desk. Absolute joke! One member of staff told us he has asked for 3 more desks open. That was 30 minutes ago!

Still in queue no further forward after 45 minutes.

Still got to get through security and hopefully make our connecting flight to Edinburgh!!

After a long flight, we get this! No wonder people get angry!!!

Get it sorted! It’s not what we pay for!!!!!

User

Discussed with your wheelchair assist staff very unhelpful had to park at the drop of area told by a ba member of staff to walk into the airport even tho the customer is disabled so then ask could they bring 2 people out to meet the lady in question sorry no body here at the moment 2 company employees sat in the office outside at the drop area no help at all then we got met by a abusive manager that let one of his staff push a trolley full of cases and a wheelchair on his own as I could not leave the car at the drop of area unattended to get met by the manager being more abusive and just watched his worker struggle into the airport on his own unbelievable !! Good for health and safety for your co workers !!this really needs addressing with a office outside to meet your disabled customers like Gatwick Airport disgusting behaviour I will be taking this further ! !

User

Been here twice in two weeks, usually don’t fly BA (and because of this will not fly BA in the future); both times waited over 1 hour in the immigration queue. There was only 2 immigration counters open for about 20 rows of passengers deep queuing! You all have been warned!

User

After a night flight from America being spoken to very rudely by security staff was not the welcome home we expected! If staff paid more attention to customers and visitors instead of flirting and chatting each other up maybe the queues would not be so long, it’s a wonder anyone makes a connecting flight!!

User

Absolute and utter chaos at security. No-one to monitor fast track queue so everyone used it. When I mentioned it to one security person he said everyone in the queues had short connections! Ridiculous statement. Lines standing still because they are filled with bags to be searched and no-one to search them. People queuing to have their bags searched with no-one there to do anything or even speak to them. Hard to see how it can be any worse.
