The negative experiences are usually the ones that get shared, which is a shame, because I can't say I've personally had a bad one and I've had an abundance of good ones

It's always lively, the choice of music once inside is massively varied, the main room has a brilliant atmosphere and despite what a lot of the comments have said - as a straight male that frequently gets turned away for 'looking like trouble' I've never had so much as a dodgy look from security

Cheap drinks & entry as well, plus in all the times I've been there I don't think I've ever seen one person kick off

User

I've been going heaven for the past 10 yrs and what I have to say is.... The best club in the world !!! Great music, great staff and a guaranteed fun every time I go!!

User

I'm very disappointed in seeing negative comments, when I am practically at heaven every day it opens, I get on with the security there and have had no problem with them, the staff at GAY are lovely and friendly. A lot of straight people go during the week because this is one of the only clubs open that late, and drink prices are very cheap I love GAY and I've never had a problem. It gets packed very quickly, and the rooms are nicely laid out

User

Heaven is the best night club to go I've been there 3 times and enjoyed it very much. The staff in there are very polite the music is live and it's full of energetic people and the DJ played some very good bangers wanna go again

User

Brilliant venue! Originally, we only planned to go for New Years Eve but we just had to go again on New Years Day because we had such a good time. We were seriously dreading the queue but when we arrived at 11pm on NYE, we were in exactly 9 minutes later (yeah, we're sad and actually timed it). It was lively and busy but it never felt cramped because it is massive inside (we kept finding more rooms and we counted about 7-8 bars!) The bar staff are friendly and all the bouncers were really polite. I didn't catch the name of the bartender upstairs (she wears glasses, hoops and a snapback) but she was the most helpful and lovely person ever! The female manager in the cloakroom was brilliant too. At the end of the night, a staff member at the coat-check was quite rude to me so she took over & defuse the situation. After I left, he even came outside to apologise so even that incident didn't ruin the experience at all. I 100% recommend! Can't wait to get back, climbing down those stairs to Heaven!

User

Amazing DJ and lots of dance floor area. The line to get in was very long, and because of high demand, they try to only let in members of G-A-Y or people with wrist bands from G-A-Y. My friend and I just explained we were only here for 2 more weeks and that we had been told it was the best club, so they let us in without. The recommendations were spot on. Best club in London.

User

Heaven I regularly go to and love so much about it however I'm only giving it 3 stars due to the nonsense that regularly happens with getting in. A group of us attended on Saturday (19th Nov) and as we were virtually queuing to pay for entry one of my friends was randomly pulled out of the queue and was breathalysed, this came back as a red fail. My friend had had a few drinks like the rest of us but was far from drunk, this breathalyser test is absolutely pointless as 90% plus of the people queuing would fail and would result in an empty club! Of course people would have had a drink before coming, it's a club not Sunday School! Clearly very drunk people need turning away but the door staff are trained to detect those people, equipment like the breathalyser is absolutely pointless and serves no purpose.

The random picking on people needs to stop, I've been before when a friend and I had just arrived into London by train and had had no alcohol and the security guard said my friend was too drunk and wouldn't let him in; we queued again and got in fine the second time. It seems to me that the security counts to 50 and then picks on that person. People/Groups travel from quite far away to visit Heaven and the exclusion of someone for it seems random/obscure reasons can ruin a night out for a group like it did for us last night. I ask that door staff act in a consistent and fair manner to ensure a fun night is had by all

User

the club is great except this big middle eastern or indian security guard name noah that walks around getting girls numbers, and when i dance with them he gets extremly jealous and finds a way to kick me out n his security friends back him up for his bullshitt, absolutly dicusting, securty is bunch of str8 guys who r purverts ,. n then i talk to manager he just listens tothier words if he was smart he would check camera to see what really goes on, most shittiest securtity make it a 3rrd class place to a point u feel like ur in a third world county

User

Very rude staff. They would rather tell you that you're drunk than let you in. Security guy was making excuses that he will lose his license even if you act normal. Next time if you tell you colleagues to give away wristband to the club make sure to tell them you won't let them in. In this way you won't ruin someone!s New Year Eve celebration. Thinking is not difficult, I promise it's worth trying. All the best in new year anyway.

This evening I was turned away from Heaven Nightclub London for the third time this year, not in close succession, not for repeated indiscretions, and certainly not for lack of compliance, but for reasons I can only deem as discriminatory. I am not a homosexual man, but when I was 16 I had my first formative clubbing experiences, surrounded by older gay men and more importantly, people I considered as dear friends, who took me to my first queer nights and acted as my guardians and mentors during an invaluable part of my adolescence. I will forever be unalterably tied to the gay community, as an ally or however the nomenclature shifts, and Heaven will always be a part of that. However, the treatment I have received this evening and in previous evenings is not only insulting to the people who embrace and always have embraced the community without hesitation, but to those who merely seek to have a good time with friends they've always felt profoundly comfortable with, not only in spite of but also because of their sexual orientation. I'm afraid "not being a regular" is simply not a good enough excuse for picking straight guys out of the queue anymore (often on multiple occasions in a single evening) while obviously being no more drunk or disorderly than anyone else, and of course it doesn't depreciate the incredible privilege this elite enjoys (often at the expense of the gay community itself), but it also does nothing to distance ourselves from the discriminatory attitudes we despise.

User

Racist staff. Very rude. Very unprofessional staff who didnt let me in and claimed I was too drunk to enter even though I had nothing to drink. They let in all my black friends and treated me unfairly. I highly recommend to avoid this place.

User

Last Saturday night, I've banned from Heaven ( Gay club in Charing Cross) because I stand up for my friends who have been kick out from the club with no reason.

I'll understand if my friends were drunk but...they weren't!

This is not the first time. Sometimes they won't even let you in without a specific reason.

Heaven is the only gay club in the West End with a big venue and cheap entry. Therefore they need a solution to reduce overcrowding, but is not fair when the reason why you've been kick out from the club in the middle of the night has not fundamentals.

While I was complaining with the security, I've been pushed different times and the manager J.J. was watching the scene aware of the misbehaviour of his staff and he has the look of someone who is thinking "I don't give a fuck about you poor people."

I get angry because this is UNFAIR. They take advantage of the fact that people in London don't have money and they're the only solution available in the West End. ( Clubs in East London are better but far.)

This is frustrating and miserable.

I wish you'll close soon but unfortunatelly you won't, because you'll always find long queues outside your door.

I won't miss Heaven because I understood that quality is more important than quantity and I wish people who is living in London for a while will have the same thought of me one day.

It's a bulllshit club, you can only go in when they decide you can enter, but it's not for something problem, only because if you go with 7 Friend, they say you, oh sorry only all of you, can you go in 6 and always 1 of you get out! And finally all of you go out! I always go there, heaven is for me my favourite club, but I don't like when they attend you to go out! Why? Because I always go there, and I think you have to take care your customers! Sorry for my English!

User

I'm not even gonna go into it massively but door staff are utter dickheads ... They can finish your night up with no legitimate reason when ever they feel like it... Maybe my face didn't fit I don't know ... The venue is nothing to go wow about anyway, get yourself over the water and into Vauxhall for a proper clubbing experience! I wish this had the option for 0 star's

User

I try to enter and a girl said me that i was too druk (two cocktail) and that i had to wait 45 minutes...after one hour they said me that i couldn't enter for all the night while people really drunk was inside...i will not return here never...NEVER!!!

User

I love Heaven but what happened yesterday it's unacceptable, basically I got there at 11pm with my bf and my friend that was visiting me, we were on the guest list plus I am a G-A-Y member, and one of the security guard won't let us in (apparently my friend was too drunk, when he had one drink), I spoke with the manager and he said he couldn't do anything, so he decided my friends and I should wait for 30 minutes and try again, we actually waited longer than that, like 45 minutes, when we tried to get in, the same security guard let my friend in, the one that by his opinion was too drunk, but then he stopped my bf because apparently he looked like he was on drugs ( he hasn't try any types of drugs in his life), and stopped me too, I don't know why, eventually we all got in because the manager helped us, but all of that after 1 hour waiting and been treated really bad with no reason. So great club, but try to show the staff how to treat customers, because things like that really let it down.

User

I go to Heaven a lot and have had some fantastic nights out there. It’s with regret, then, that I have to back the comments of a lot of people on this page. The door operations are a complete and utter disgrace.

Last night, my friends and I headed there to celebrate my birthday. I’d been looking forward to it for ages. After queueing for a long time in the cold, the bouncers took one of my friends aside and claimed she was 'too drunk' to go in.

I tried to speak to security for a while, which was sadly a complete waste of time. They were really unprofessional, and to be honest pretty patronising. They weren’t able to explain to me the rationale behind my friend being ejected. I want to believe that they have a reasonable explanation for their heavy-handed treatment of guests. Regardless, our group was split up and my friend ended up going home.

Heaven has become notorious for its coercive and irrational door policy. This has got to stop. I completely understand that the club needs a tough stance. Given the sensitive times we're living in with London nightlife under threat, I’m sure management are trying to be especially precautious. But this has been going on for years. I don't believe anything justifies the completely shameless and cavalier attitude that security has towards Heaven customers.

It’s a shame that the security team is ruining the safe and fun atmosphere that I’ve known Heaven to have on previous nights out. The bottom line is that Heaven has lost my custom as well as that of everyone I know. I'm really disappointed.

User

Awful experience! Travelled to London especially to go to Heaven for our gay friend's 21st birthday and refused entry for "not being members" even though most people in the queue said they weren't members! Reason for not letting us in kept changing - too many of us even though we saw bigger groups of non-members being let in. Not once told we were too drunk so that definitely wasn't the issue. Thought this was supposed to be a place where everyone is welcomed without being discriminated against but we fully believe if we had been a group of gay males, there would have been no issues.

Such a disappointment and won't bother returning in the future.

User

Awful and sexist, would you believe it. 100 gay men allowed in and counting, when my gay female friend approached, she was decline for not being 'gay enough'! I was then questioned about the gay venues I know in London and told if I could name 7 I'd be let in. This isn't the hunger games. We're not being pitched against each other. Shouldn't we all be equal? Shocked by the outside staff behaviour!!!
