To celebrate International Women’s Day on Wednesday 8th March we're hosting a special cocktail evening inspired by the lives and work of seven of London's female artists, writers, thinkers and leaders.
Profits from the event will be going to the brilliant Hackney-based women’s charity OURMALA, who offer yoga, language classes and access to critical services for refugee and asylum-seeker women in London.
We will be drawing inspiration from Mary Wollstonecraft, Elizabeth Garre...tt Anderson, Mary Seacole, Emmeline Pankhurst, Angela Carter, Jo Spence and Ray BLK. Come along to celebrate with us and show your support!

My friends and I enjoyed a fantastic thanksgiving dinner here last Wednesday! The atmosphere and staff were fantastic and the food was delicious!! I'll definitely be making a return visit, especially for the pecan tart.

How can a pub make the best coffee? We only went in there for a drink, and ten minutes later had placed our order for dinner. Hector can't be faulted. This is East London's newest addition to the already popular Gastropub scene, and you wonder how it will survive? The answer is simple, they have a great little menu using organic, locally sourced, homegrown produce. Half a tarragon marinaded chicken with all the trimmings, including the often denied Yorkshire pudding. This place is going to be heaving soon, and I fear for a seat in the new beer garden, (I've had ten years' practice) - but I do feel it my duty to promote one of the loveliest pubs in the area, and it has some competition. But, with a FSA rating of 5 for a start (unlike the others in the village, ugh it makes for scary reading, Lauriston being the only exception) - this is a noble start for the friendliest pub in town. Man, have they got taste.

Popped in for quick lunch on a sunny Monday. Lovely friendly service and yummy chicken and avocado sourdough sandwich with a bowl of the tastiest chunky fries with garlic aioli. Nice decor - great loos too! I'll be back for sure. Just note cash only at the moment.
