Hector'S Greyhound Rescue

Rescue and rehoming of greyhounds in Shropshire, Cheshire and North Wales. Viewing of dogs is by appointment only at weekends.

We are a dedicated group of volunteers who devote their time to saving the lives of ex-racing Greyhounds. All of our greyhounds are profiled by the foster carers who look after them when they come in to rescue and this means that we are able to work with you to find the right dog for you. Greyhounds are rescued by us for a variety of reasons: some are no longer required by the racing industry and find themselves at risk of being “put to sleep”; others are taken in directly from trainers; some are received from the dog pound after being picked up as strays, and others are handed in by owners who can no longer keep.
