Hei Studios

Hei produces stories in literature, audio, theatre and most fundamentally, 2D animation which enchant, inspire wonder in the tradition of Disney, Studio Ghibli and Don Bluth, whilst motivating people to live empathetically and with open minds. We are in the process of developing an animated film (Seeking Scarlet at the End of the World) slated for release in 2019, which combines the superhero premise with the emotional and intimate tone of films from Hayao Miyazaki, whilst utilising the aesthetic of global cultures and mythologies and aiming to open minds on such issues as refugees and difference. It is our objective to create something truly unique and original. We have already produced a 2hour animatic which is being shown in theatres in London, described as: "It was like nothing I'd ever seen before. . . Completely unique. ""So beautiful. "". . . so different from anything I'd ever seen before. "
