I have over 30 years experience in hair & make-up so have a read of my story
My career starting at the age of 16 serving an apprenticeship at Steiner Hair & Beauty Chester where I qualified as a stylist then went on to be a Master Stylist.
Followed my dream to become a Makeup artist at 21yrs & left Chester for London where I did a 3 month intensive Makeup course at Greasepaint where I studied all aspects of makeup including Tv & Film Makeup, Theatre, Prosthetics, Wigmaking & Fashion photography makeup. I qualified and went on to combine my makeup & hair skills working to gain experience only at first, in the theatre & on student films.
Whilst working on a film I was asked to assist another makeup artist on a pop promo and then my career had started! ! I went on to work including doing the hair & makeup for famous bands on their world tours. During my career in London I worked on many projects and with some amazing people including Will Young, Annie Lennox, Kevin Costner, Danny Dyer, Lisa Snowdon & Colin Firth to name a few. One of my favourite jobs was working on numerous tours and with the world famous band U2.
I moved back to my home town of Chester 15 yrs ago when I became a Mum to Georgina and while was younger I worked for premium make-up brands which kept me up to date with all the latest products.
A couple of years with the encouragement of Georgina who adores all things hair & make-up to go back to my career but this time doing Bridal Hair & Make-up which I am ver passionate about. There is something special about being part of a wedding. I also work part time in a lovely hair salon Huntington Hair Studio in Chester which I love.

Helene did the hair and makeup for myself and three bridesmaids for my wedding in August. From the very beginning she was super helpful, friendly and professional. She was very thorough when we had my trial and did exactly what I was after. She was fab when I cut my hair right before the wedding and had to come up with a different plan!! She was great at communicating right up to the day of the wedding so I didn’t have to do any chasing. On the day even though there were 4 of us and there was no time to spare I didn’t feel rushed, the morning was relaxed and fun and Helene just added to it. Everyone commented on how lovely the hair and makeup was. I would recommend Helene to anyone wanting someone who is reliable and friendly.
Helene did the hair and makeup for myself and my two bridesmaids for my wedding at the beginning of November. She’s lovely, a calming influence over what can be a manic morning. Her work was brilliant and the makeup lasted all day without budging. Many evening guests asked whether I’d had it touched up as it was still perfect. Thank you!!xxx
Helene did my make up yesterday for a party I was attending and I absolutely loved it! Helene is a miracle worker and she knows her stuff. She went through colours palettes with me and suggested what she thought would work for the look I wanted. Thank you Helene - would HIGHLY recommend x
Helen did my hair and makeup for my wedding day, she also did my bridesmaids hair. I can not fault her!! From the beginning she was friendly, helpful and professional. I felt amazing on the day all thanks to her hard work. She took the pictures I showed her and transformed me to exactly how I wanted on the day.
