Hello Future

Hello Future helps young people across Cumbria realise their full potential by offering impartial advice and bespoke opportunities to explore their future options and progression towards higher education. We know that the road to higher education can be daunting, especially not knowing what to do next, so we focus on providing advice, guidance and support to the parents and carers of students, their advisors and teachers, and their wider network. By working with their wider influencers, we help young people realise their potential and make informed decisions about their future. Hello Future opens the door to new experiences and opportunities for learners to understand which skills they need to discover or develop to achieve their goals. We help learners to not only explore the different routes into higher education, but also gain the practical skills and experience needed to fulfil their ambitions. Our programmes facilitate academic learning as well as social and cultural enrichment through mentoring, workshops, presentations, events and trips to help them navigate the many pathways towards higher education. The Hello Future partnership is led by the University of Cumbria, together with BAE Systems, Carlisle College, Cumbria County Council, Cumbria LEP, Edge Hill University, Furness College, Kendal College, Lakes College, Lancaster University, Lancaster & Morecambe College, Myerscough College, Newton Rigg College, NHS Better Care Together, University of Central Lancashire and the React Foundation. Hello Future is the Cumbrian partnership of the national Uni Connect Programme, funded by the Office for Students.
