Foster carers come form every type of background and there is no 'one size fits all' expectation of who can foster.

Foster carers open their homes and give their time in order to make a difference in the life of a child or young person who is unable to live with their own family for any number of reasons. his could be short term or long term , caring for a baby or a teenager. It could even mean having a parent and their own baby or child come to stay while they are supported to develop their own parenting skills.
