The last few days have been very difficult and I feel as though I’ve had the carpet pulled from underneath my feet. My head and emotions have been so high and I’m aware I’m not grounded, finding it difficult to concentrate on anything. This is so unlike me.
My time has been spent either finding out what I’m entitled to as a self employed person and going for walks in this beautiful weather to try to find some sort of normality.
My lungs have felt tight, not due to any illne...ss, but according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the lungs are associated to emotions such as sadness and grief. This is exactly how I’m feeling right now. A sadness and grief of life as I know it. However, I truly believe that this is part of my path and I need to let go and trust, which I’m trying to do.
So this evening, I am taking time to give myself a reflexology treatment to help me feel more grounded. I’ve started with a couple of emotional reflexes and finding these really helpful in calming my mind and reducing any anxious feelings.
Try this on yourself. Place your thumbs on the indentation in the centre of the feet, below the ball, in-line between the 2nd and 3rd toe. With your second fingers, place on top of your foot, in between the 2nd and 3rd toe.
Hold both feet and feel the difference. Do they feel the same or different?Hold until they feel the same and there’s no tenderness.
***Please note: although I use these points on my pregnant clients, I advise you to not use these if you are pregnant.***

Helston Holistic Therapies is temporarily closed
It is with heavy heart that I've had to close the Helston Holistic Therapies practice due to government guidelines yesterday, stating that all spas and wellness centres should close.
I am hoping that this is only going to be temporary but for now, I need to find out what support I'm able to receive to help pay the monthly rent and bills, as well as some kind of income. It is a worrying time, but I believe that we are good at a...dapting and finding solutions to problems.
All Mother's Day gift vouchers will of course be honoured and I have extended the expiry date to the 22nd September 2020. All other vouchers that will be expiring over the next couple of weeks and pre paid appointments will be honoured until a time when we are back to normal. (Hopefully, within the next 2-3 months).
I have lots of bookings during April, so I'll be contacting everyone to rearrange their appointments to another date in May/June. I am very disappointed that my new Facial Reflexology treatment couldn't be launched. It won't be too long, hopefully, until I can share this wonderful treatment with you all.
I've been thinking about how I can work online and would like to offer my fertility couples the opportunity to have a one to one Skype session with me, where I can demonstrate some techniques to help boost fertility over the coming months. If this works, I may start 'couples and family reflexology' Skype sessions. This is such an important time to stay healthy, and what better way to do it with Reflexology & Complementary Therapies!

Some of my clients are beginning to feel a little anxious about the spread of Corona Virus, so here’s some tips to help.

***Important information regarding Corona Virus***
Hi everyone, I am continuing as normal this week but have a planned holiday booked from the 20th March, returning to the practice on the 4th April. I will be keeping you up to date over the coming weeks as to whether I'm still seeing clients or have closed the practice. I will be following government advice.
My policy at present is to ask clients to wash their hands on arrival and I'm cleaning all surfaces, switches and handl...es etc after every client. I am recommending pregnant ladies, clients above 70 years of age and anyone with underlying health issues to change their appointment for another day in a month's time.
Clients booked in over the next couple of days will be contacted to give them an option to come in for their appointment or to cancel.
I am planning to return to the practice on the 4th April unless small businesses have been told to close. If you wish to cancel your appointment due to keeping contact to a minimum, I completely understand, but please give me 24 hours notice if possible. My cancellation fee has been wavered, however, missed appointments will still be charged at full price.
Any gift voucher purchased recently and nearing their expiry date will be honoured and extended so that they can still be used over the forthcoming weeks.
I thank you for your support over the past week. It is a very uncertain time and I ask that you all try to support your local businesses as much as you can.
Remember that this situation is only temporary and will pass. I'm hoping that from this difficult time, we will see some positive change within ourselves and our community.

With the continuing spread of the Coronavirus, I feel I have a responsibility to protect people who may be more vulnerable if they were to be exposed to the virus. So it is important to post my guidelines as I have many clients in their 60's, 70's and 80's, some with underlying health issues and also younger clients who have compromised immune systems or respiratory conditions.
Please let me know before attending your appointment if:
- you have any cold/flu-like symptoms, si...gns of coughing or shortness of breath or a temperature/fever
- you've travelled to any of these places in the last 14 days: China, Iran, South Korea, Italy, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam.
- you've had contact with someone who may have coronavirus.
If you need to cancel your appointment at short notice because you fall into any of the above categories then please let me know. I will not be charging a cancellation fee due to the above reasons.
