Hemingways Lounge Bar, Sw19 Description
Since 2010, Hemingways has stood proudly as the only locally owned and independent cocktail establishment within the ever desirable Wimbledon Village.
The bar lies in the heart of the village, and plays host to a mix of local faces and visitors from afar. Our staff come from a multitude of backgrounds, each bringing something unique and memorable to your experience.
Having been awarded 'Best Cocktail Bar in South-West London', you can rest assured in the knowledge that, whether you’re after an ultimate classic like an Old Fashioned, a modern pick-me-up such as an Espresso Martini, or one of our own in-house creations, including the ever popular Pomme d’Hemingways, our highly trained bartenders will ensure that your drink truly hits the spot.
Hemingways, however, is not a one trick pony; we hold communal wine tasting events to tailor a bespoke menu for our cliental and these fine wines have been used to build a modest yet considered range that pairs excellently with our selection of homemade pizzas and antipasti.
The strength of Hemingways’ reputation has allowed us the great privilege of bringing the versatility of our experience to your own homes with the launch of 'Hemingways at Home' where we provide a range of different services to create a bespoke event just for you.

9 years ago, I bought this little gem. It’s been one of the most challenging yet rewarding things in my life .. An amazing journey of discovery, fun, hard work and commitment . Thank you to all of the brilliant loyal staff & customers both old and new, who have supported the team and me on this journey. I’m very proud to remain the only locally owned, independent, award winning bar in Wimbledon Village. Long may it continue!! Absoluty Love that place .. sorry ... I made a review meant to be for a Bar In Kassel / Germany which share the same name .... its impossible to not being acknowledged at Hemingways In the Wimbledon Village and service is prompt .... sometimes to prompt ...�� ....
Make a great pornstar martini but never stick the ingredients for a bubblegum �! Otherwise a great place to meet and socialise with friends. ���
It was 'ok', apart from the wine glasses tasting of soap and slow service at the bar. Also not keen on the sparklers being carried around by clumsy waitresses almost catching hair and handbags alight.
Bit expensive when you can get cocktails cheaper at The Ivy down the road! My cocktail was good but my wife's Bellini was poor!
Fed up of seeing flies on my drink glasses just infesting there before they decide to use it and serve you a drink. Sorry but no thanks
