“WORLDRECORDS is a tribute to analogue acoustic art; a homage to the warmest, perhaps most sensitive type of sound carrier. In a way – that makes the photo series so special – it is also a private time machine to the spectator: music as an impulse to remember bits and pieces of one’s personal history, a release of former thoughts and feelings. The soundtrack of your life.” Kai Schäfer.
The book WORLDRECORDS by Kai Shäfer is available to buy on our website now > http://www.henipublishing.com/product/wor ldrecords/

To celebrate the publication of WORLDRECORDS by photographer Kai Schäfer, HENI Publishing would like to invite you to the private view at the HENI Gallery. The exhibition will be showcasing photographs of original vinyl pressings featuring some of the very best record albums in music history on the iconic turntables they would have been played on. Albums featured include David Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, Joy Division's Unknown Pleasu...res, Kraftwerk's Tour de France among many more, each one a tribute to music, art and design.
Kai Schäfer is an artist from Germany. In his series “World Records” he combines his two passions photography and music. This work has been exhibited in New York and Los Angeles. He currently lives and works in Düsseldorf, Germany.

To celebrate the publication of Nomos Alpha, HENI Gallery presents a special six-day exhibition of Koo Jeong A’s work. On display will be 20 large format reproductions – produced by HENI Editions – of a series of whimsical and often humorous pen drawings in Koo’s signature style. These works were previously exhibited at the Korean Cultural Centre UK in 2016, as part of the exhibition Riptide in celebration of Koo’s recognition as ‘Artist of the Year’.
Nomos Alpha is an artist...’s book, created in close collaboration with Koo. The drawings collected come from a wider selection featured in the book R, published by Swiss Re in 2006. Available as a limited edition of 500, each book has been signed and numbered by Koo. Beautifully produced on extra thick paper with a bespoke jacket, this keepsake publication will be available at the gallery at the special discounted price of £70 (RRP £85).
Koo Jeong A was born in Seoul, South Korea. Since the early 90s Koo has made works that are seemingly casual and commonplace, yet at the same time remarkably precise, deliberate and considered. Her practice spans various media, including drawing, sculpture, installation, audio and architecture. Many of her works are conceived within site-specific environments that question the limits of fact and action, the imaginary and actuality of our world. Reflections on the senses and the body prevail throughout her practice, at times incorporating objects, still and moving images, audio elements, aromas and other mixed-media. Koo’s work is featured in public collections internationally, including Tate Modern and the Guggenheim Museum New York.
