Welcome to Henning Horseboxes. We are a family run horsebox company which runs alongside our other family business Henning Polocrosse UK a riding establishment specialising in the teaching of polocrosse and the hiring out of Polocrosse ponies, so we have an extensive knowledge of what is required from a horsebox from both the owner and the horse. We transport between 2 and 10 horses at any one time all over the UK and Europe covering between 5000 - 10000 miles a year, doing b...oth short trips to the forest and up to 2 week trips as far as Hannover in Germany. I built my first lorry 20 years ago, an old 1988 Mercedes 814 and have been building them since. We build, repair and maintain all our customers lorries, trucks and trailers with this in mind. We use professional materials and our prices are affordable. Turn around times are fairly quick and every job is treated the same whether it’s a partition repair, a new tack locker or tack locker repairs, a new floor or ramp or even a new build. We can fit out living areas including beds, lutons, cut throughs, showers, fridges, ovens. In fact we are happy to discuss any requirements at all. We also offer a Pre Purchase Inspection service to anyone wanting to buy a lorry. We will travel all over the country helping customers find the right box for them within their budget. An update on our little boy blue 3.5t van conversion

A little information video about quality of materials and something’s you can look out for when buying a lorry or having work done on your own. Never be afraid to ask to see samples of materials used. They must be fit for purpose and meet the demands of our four legged friends even if they decide to have moments.

As I'm sure you are all aware I do a lot of pre purchase inspections for customers and often, when looking at horseboxes under the 10k mark I end up disappointed. Its just proves to me over and over what a minefield it is for prospective buyers looking to buy at the cheaper end of the market.
Well this little box is a customers but I am very happy to advertise this on our page as it truly represents very good value for money. I have looked after this lorry since my customers ...brought it but they are now looking for something smaller. Its strong, safe, reliable and easy to drive! That alone makes it better than most of the boxes I look at that are £2,000/3,000 more.
Iveco 7.5T Horsebox This box has just had a new MOT and an Oil/Filters service. It had a new Aluminium floor fitted 18 months ago. Both the walls and the floor are solid. It has nice ramp that it easy to pull down and put up. It is a nice compact lorry that's easy to drive. It is, at present, stalled for 4 but the front partition has been made into a tack area with saddle racks and bridle hooks however the horse area is of a very good size and even if a nice day living was added it would still easily take 4 horses up to about 16hh. It has a good size luton area for plenty of storage. This box has a really good payload for a 7.5t I recently put it on the weighbridge and it weighed in at 5,240kg's including me as the driver and I weigh around 90kg's. At present there is no living but if any prospective buyers wanted living added this could easily be arranged and tailored to suit the buyers needs. Selling for offers in the region of £7000.

Another video showing the possible dangers hidden underneath a 3.5t lorry. This is another well known make, they are simply not reinforced well enough to carry 1/2 ton of animal especially if it decides to have a moment. We have done this job on various makes and models now, sadly it’s not exclusive to a particular company and seems to be found across the board.

This is 'Old Blue' our lovely 1114 Mercedes Truck. We are sadly selling him due to needing a bigger truck. This truck has been a real gem and this year alone has travelled all over the UK with countless trips from Kent to the Midlands, the Cotswolds, Doncaster, and even up to North of Chester on the England Wales border. It has never missed a beat. We then took it out to Hannover in Germany and back in September. It’s not only long haul journeys it does, as it has taken us th...e 10 mile round trip to our club training grounds twice a week every week throughout the summer and has be back and forward to the forest regularly. It has just sailed through its MOT with only one advisory - one of the headlights was a bit too high! There is a twist to this sale though. You have choices!!! At the moment it has been downgraded to a 7.5t so it could be made into a 2 horse lorry with the most epic living space that you would want to hold parties in it on a regular basis or it could be put back to its original 11t status and can easily carry 6 horses without a problem. The living at present has a double luton bed and a third sleeping space / massive storage shelf. There are the 2 bench seats both with storage under and a table in the middle. It has a 4 ring burner and some overhead cupboard space. Outside there is plenty of storage.
