We popped into here, as we saw a table for 4 in the outside area. I asked the people on the next table who were leaving if they had enjoyed their meal / drinks and they were lovely and highly recommended the cocktails and food, they had shared a few starters between them.

We had our two children age 9 and age 6 with us - we popped inside to get a menu and kids menu - we ordered 4 meals, wine and water up at the bar giving our table number.



We also had a super lovely lady look after us!



She spotted my daughter being grumpy when she was clearing away the table next to us and immediately helped out by bringing another glass of water with a delicious strawberry � and and extra strawberry for our son. The waitress was kind, smiling and very friendly, she was very attentive we felt very spoiled and it was a super treat.

The food arrived promptly and we loved it!

We really had a nice time sitting outside and we enjoyed how looked after we felt.

Good prices on food and drinks!

Highly recommend this spot - clean and tidy too. Thanks again to the super nice waitress too!

Met for lunch indulged in a 10oz sirloin steak for under £15 and it was cooked to perfection, can’t go wrong, good food and good value for money!!!

Given this a 4 because of the way things was handled. Really it would have been a 1.



It took a 20min plus to get two hot drinks one was hot chocolate with cream (told had no cream (Waitrose is round the corner go buy it) had to chase drinks twice and almost and hours for our food. We was in no rush so was not end of the world we was happy chatting .



But your waiting stuff kept us informed and without us complaining or anything apologised for the wait and the slow service and said I have cleared off your bill due to the long wait and lack of cream and first choice I terms off the menu so they gave us meal and drinks we had free without asking



This was a fantastic gesture of good will and shows that using a ‘fix it now’ approach to issues does leave the customer still wanting to come back due to how the lady handled everything. We will return here as we have eaten here a few times and it’s been good but what ever the issues was today was just a there and then issues and your staff handled it well.

Me, my work colleagues and our partners came to Henry's last night not for a Christmas night out just a normal night out, our waiter was lovely very helpful and cheery which was good, we proceeded to order our starters which was fine until the waiter came over to say there was no camembert or tequila prawns left, main meals were ordered and then we're told there was no spicy rice for the burritos, steak orders were mixed up with the way they were supposed to be cooked, we were then told we could not have any puddings which then irritated us even more to be told that the Christmas parties were being given desserts as they had already been paid for, my colleague asked to speak to the manager who came over, my colleague was very nice about it all and kept her cool the manager said there was no chef and that the kitchen was closed, the manager then offered to sort pudding out himself we said no as it was then too late, the manager offered us a discount on our food which was kind of him, to be fair the food we had was lovely but the communication could have been a bit better with regards to the kitchen situation, it won't stop me from going back again, unfortunately it was just one of those things.

It’s a very nice place, good atmosphere nice decor, drinks a bit pricey but that’s to be expected in the area, however very disappointed with the food, ordered 3 of the “deluxe burgers” and when they arrived there was no bbq sauce, no portobello mushroom and no peppercorn sauce and the sweet potato fries looked as if they had been refried. Normally I’m not one to complain however I felt the need to say something to the waitress, she was very apologetic but was unable to find her manager for at least 20 mins which in itself is disappointing, not her fault, a manager should be available to deal with complaints and customers shouldn’t have to wait, a refund was offered and accepted, but it did kind of ruin the experience

Went with a friend yesyerday 22nd April as i was at her's for the wekend we went for lunch Every thing we asked for was off the menue finaly found something Service was awful waited 3/4of hour for it and it was cold so most of it was left snd the waiter had the cheek to say did you enjou your food Rubbish place won't go back spoilt our day

Nice location, and very clean. I don't know who makes your fish fingers sandwiches however. I have seen better fish fingers fall out of an Iceland van (the insides were grey). Your tartare sauce is very nice, sadly it turned up 15 minutes after the sandwich. You did look very understaffed so I made the best of what arrived and ate it. No, I wouldn't come back, but I wouldn't deter people from visiting you. Maybe you are just finding your feet (you have to ditch those fish fingers).Best of luck. Your location is very competitive. I suggest you up your game. You could do really well :)

What an awful night! Thank goodness for good friends because the venue did nothing to promote a nice evening! Very very understaffed apparently due to reduced staffing as it’s January and nobody goes out! Despite several large groups who had clearly booked!our group alone was booked for 14 people and yet 2 bar staff were apparently enough?????.



Waiting 30 mins for a cocktail but one get one free which the bar staff did everything to persuade you not to have one, because it’ll take to long to make!!!! After an hour they’d run out of prosecco apparently our fault because it’s to popular??? Spent far to long at the bar waiting with unfriendly overworked staff when I should have been with my friends!



Definitely won’t be recommending or going back! Poor show indeed!

Went there last night for a friend birthday! Saturday night and only 2 bar staff! Took forever to buy a drink & order food only to find they ran out of the majority including chips. Had to get a refund which won’t hit my account for a few days! Complete shambles really! My friend waited an hour & a half for his food before being told no food available! Whoever managing this place needs to get their finger out! Staff seemed VERY stressed & overwhelmed who had NO idea what food they had & taking payments for food they couldn’t even serve!

Went for a birthday with 8 of us ,Such poor services the place was empty and so slow taking over half hour for couple of cocktails , clearly the bar staff have no clue on making cocktails and kept serving beer to other customers and not making the orders , then leaving them to back up, the starters came out all at different times , some mains came out straight after starters way before others starters had yet to come out , we returned theses and then they decided to delay these 20 minutes after other mains had come which was over an hour wait in between starters to mains, so we canceled these mains, the same on other drinks further into the night we had to cancel after being over half an hour to be made after ordered and paid for. No one had no real effort to apologise or keep us as customers in the Restirant for the rest of the evening , do not go here

We'd booked a table for a reunion of work colleagues, one of whom had travelled from Northampton especially. None of us had eaten so were ready for a good meal. The waiter had come Over to take orders and asked for 2 more minutes. It then took 40 minutes until we managed to get someone to take our order. Unfortunately when we ordered we were told there may not be one of the options available but then the waitress came back and said they couldn't do main meals only chips or nachos,as they it had one chef on and that deserts were probably not ok either as they'd be frozen still! Not good at all, and then we decided to have hot drinks - 5 members of staff chatting together but took them. While to realise people were at the bar to be served!! Lastly- ran out of marshmallows to add to the hot chocolates! 6 people won't be returning!!

Very disappointing first visit, I normally frequent central for cocktails and love a bogoff deal! Good attraction to get people in through the door however not so good when the staffing levels are so poor and drink stock don’t allow for it!



2 bar staff serving meant a wait of 25-30mins for our drinks once you were actually served. No offer of even bringing them to our table! The staff were clearly stressed and over worked! We were advised to have normal drinks to reduce waiting times??? Clearly not a cocktail bar at all. It wasn’t particularly heaving but the staff clearly couldn’t cope with the demand which is strange as most people seemed to have booked tables so management would have had an idea of how many people would be drinking before hand and allow for demand. We managed to buy 3 rounds of drinks but buy the time we sat for the third the lights went on and we were very quickly ushered out by brisk security staff!



Whilst standing and waiting for our drinks many people actually gave up and left! There are plenty of other bars in kingston offering cocktails and a good venue neither of which Henry’s has!



I shall definitely not be returning

Utterly underwhelming, the waiter brought our drinks then said he’d be back in 2 for our orders but walked off for a cigarette so 10 minutes later we had to just go to the bar, my burger had mustard instead of bbq sauce which I don’t like, we weren’t offered any additional sauces or desserts and when he came to ask how our food was he disappeared before I could say anything - won’t be back!!

Terribly slow service and then messed up our order twice! We ordered ribeye steak without chips and Worcestershire sauce with asparagus and bacon side as well as one red cabbage dish. Told at the till they don’t have Ribeye so went for Sirloin instead. They came out 30 minutes+ later to say they didn’t have red cabbage but offered mixed vegetables instead, great you might think, but then failed to even bring it. The mains came out after chasing twice with chips and without asparagus and bacon. Sent it back. When it came back 10 minutes later it was fine but everyone else on the table had finished eating! Pathetic! Didn’t even offer compensation or complementary anything!

Met friends here for a birthday on 11th February and experienced a huge variety of issues from lack of staff, unavailable drinks, early kitchen closure and eventually the entire bar closing early! Meaning our large group took our business elsewhere. Sent some detailed feedback to Henry’s via email on 13th February. A week later and I have heard nothing back, not even an apology. Looking at other reviews it is a shame customers are clearly not being listened to and forced to take to social media to voice complains!

I would say what a terrible service but having waited 10 to 15 minutes to order a drink at the relatively (3 other people in one group) empty bar only to be ignored by 3 staff, we left without receiving any service...at all.

We went to the Druids and got served within 5 mins and it was packed in comparison....

Top tip....go anywhere else

I have just visited your restaurant for the 2nd time this year (I didn’t want to come back after the first visit but my husband persuaded me to give you another chance!!!).

Where do I start. Firstly the service was slow but we decided being the festive mood we would overlook this, having ordered our meals I am informed that you had run out of my first choice the Steak and Ale pie ( I find this to be ludicrous especially as it is a popular meal in winter!) So I chose the burger which in itself was adequate but having looked at other diners burger meal my few chips which were dumped on the plate, other diners had theirs served in nice silver buckets.

Thankfully you managed not to ruin my husbands meal.

Then came desserts you offer only 4!!! So I ordered the Eton Mess only to informed low and behold you have run out!!!!!!!!!!!! What a surprise!

My husband ordered a hot chocolate nothing out of the ordinary but it still took you 20 minutes until we gave up and told you to cancel it. Only to be quite abruptly informed oh it’s just turned up!

I spoke to the manager on leaving and was extremely dismayed at his I couldn’t care less attitude, you have an exceptional amount of competition in Kingston and you couldn’t give a damn I will be posting on trip advisor where I am a highly regarded reviewer with many thousands of followers and likewise on Facebook, Twitter and instagram.

You have an ideal location and a decently decorated restaurant but the way it is run and your menu leave a lot to be desired.

We will return here as we have eaten here a few times and it’s been good but what ever the issues was today was just a there and then issues and your staff handled it well.

Me, my work colleagues and our partners came to Henry's last night not for a Christmas night out just a normal night out, our waiter was lovely very helpful and cheery which was good, we proceeded to order our starters which was fine until the waiter came over to say there was no camembert or tequila prawns left, main meals were ordered and then we're told there was no spicy rice for the burritos, steak orders were mixed up with the way they were supposed to be cooked, we were then told we could not have any puddings which then irritated us even more to be told that the Christmas parties were being given desserts as they had already been paid for, my colleague asked to speak to the manager who came over, my colleague was very nice about it all and kept her cool the manager said there was no chef and that the kitchen was closed, the manager then offered to sort pudding out himself we said no as it was then too late, the manager offered us a discount on our food which was kind of him, to be fair the food we had was lovely but the communication could have been a bit better with regards to the kitchen situation, it won't stop me from going back again, unfortunately it was just one of those things.

It’s a very nice place, good atmosphere nice decor, drinks a bit pricey but that’s to be expected in the area, however very disappointed with the food, ordered 3 of the “deluxe burgers” and when they arrived there was no bbq sauce, no portobello mushroom and no peppercorn sauce and the sweet potato fries looked as if they had been refried. Normally I’m not one to complain however I felt the need to say something to the waitress, she was very apologetic but was unable to find her manager for at least 20 mins which in itself is disappointing, not her fault, a manager should be available to deal with complaints and customers shouldn’t have to wait, a refund was offered and accepted, but it did kind of ruin the experience

I will not be returning anytime soon

Went with a friend yesyerday 22nd April as i was at her's for the wekend we went for lunch Every thing we asked for was off the menue finaly found something Service was awful waited 3/4of hour for it and it was cold so most of it was left snd the waiter had the cheek to say did you enjou your food Rubbish place won't go back spoilt our day

Nice location, and very clean. I don't know who makes your fish fingers sandwiches however. I have seen better fish fingers fall out of an Iceland van (the insides were grey). Your tartare sauce is very nice, sadly it turned up 15 minutes after the sandwich. You did look very understaffed so I made the best of what arrived and ate it. No, I wouldn't come back, but I wouldn't deter people from visiting you. Maybe you are just finding your feet (you have to ditch those fish fingers).Best of luck. Your location is very competitive. I suggest you up your game. You could do really well :)

What an awful night! Thank goodness for good friends because the venue did nothing to promote a nice evening! Very very understaffed apparently due to reduced staffing as it’s January and nobody goes out! Despite several large groups who had clearly booked!our group alone was booked for 14 people and yet 2 bar staff were apparently enough?????.



Waiting 30 mins for a cocktail but one get one free which the bar staff did everything to persuade you not to have one, because it’ll take to long to make!!!! After an hour they’d run out of prosecco apparently our fault because it’s to popular??? Spent far to long at the bar waiting with unfriendly overworked staff when I should have been with my friends!



Definitely won’t be recommending or going back! Poor show indeed!

Went there last night for a friend birthday! Saturday night and only 2 bar staff! Took forever to buy a drink & order food only to find they ran out of the majority including chips. Had to get a refund which won’t hit my account for a few days! Complete shambles really! My friend waited an hour & a half for his food before being told no food available! Whoever managing this place needs to get their finger out! Staff seemed VERY stressed & overwhelmed who had NO idea what food they had & taking payments for food they couldn’t even serve!

Went for a birthday with 8 of us ,Such poor services the place was empty and so slow taking over half hour for couple of cocktails , clearly the bar staff have no clue on making cocktails and kept serving beer to other customers and not making the orders , then leaving them to back up, the starters came out all at different times , some mains came out straight after starters way before others starters had yet to come out , we returned theses and then they decided to delay these 20 minutes after other mains had come which was over an hour wait in between starters to mains, so we canceled these mains, the same on other drinks further into the night we had to cancel after being over half an hour to be made after ordered and paid for. No one had no real effort to apologise or keep us as customers in the Restirant for the rest of the evening , do not go here

We'd booked a table for a reunion of work colleagues, one of whom had travelled from Northampton especially. None of us had eaten so were ready for a good meal. The waiter had come Over to take orders and asked for 2 more minutes. It then took 40 minutes until we managed to get someone to take our order. Unfortunately when we ordered we were told there may not be one of the options available but then the waitress came back and said they couldn't do main meals only chips or nachos,as they it had one chef on and that deserts were probably not ok either as they'd be frozen still! Not good at all, and then we decided to have hot drinks - 5 members of staff chatting together but took them. While to realise people were at the bar to be served!! Lastly- ran out of marshmallows to add to the hot chocolates! 6 people won't be returning!!

Very disappointing first visit, I normally frequent central for cocktails and love a bogoff deal! Good attraction to get people in through the door however not so good when the staffing levels are so poor and drink stock don’t allow for it!



2 bar staff serving meant a wait of 25-30mins for our drinks once you were actually served. No offer of even bringing them to our table! The staff were clearly stressed and over worked! We were advised to have normal drinks to reduce waiting times??? Clearly not a cocktail bar at all. It wasn’t particularly heaving but the staff clearly couldn’t cope with the demand which is strange as most people seemed to have booked tables so management would have had an idea of how many people would be drinking before hand and allow for demand. We managed to buy 3 rounds of drinks but buy the time we sat for the third the lights went on and we were very quickly ushered out by brisk security staff!



Whilst standing and waiting for our drinks many people actually gave up and left! There are plenty of other bars in kingston offering cocktails and a good venue neither of which Henry’s has!

Utterly underwhelming, the waiter brought our drinks then said he’d be back in 2 for our orders but walked off for a cigarette so 10 minutes later we had to just go to the bar, my burger had mustard instead of bbq sauce which I don’t like, we weren’t offered any additional sauces or desserts and when he came to ask how our food was he disappeared before I could say anything - won’t be back!!

Terribly slow service and then messed up our order twice! We ordered ribeye steak without chips and Worcestershire sauce with asparagus and bacon side as well as one red cabbage dish. Told at the till they don’t have Ribeye so went for Sirloin instead. They came out 30 minutes+ later to say they didn’t have red cabbage but offered mixed vegetables instead, great you might think, but then failed to even bring it. The mains came out after chasing twice with chips and without asparagus and bacon. Sent it back. When it came back 10 minutes later it was fine but everyone else on the table had finished eating! Pathetic! Didn’t even offer compensation or complementary anything!

Met friends here for a birthday on 11th February and experienced a huge variety of issues from lack of staff, unavailable drinks, early kitchen closure and eventually the entire bar closing early! Meaning our large group took our business elsewhere. Sent some detailed feedback to Henry’s via email on 13th February. A week later and I have heard nothing back, not even an apology. Looking at other reviews it is a shame customers are clearly not being listened to and forced to take to social media to voice complains!

I would say what a terrible service but having waited 10 to 15 minutes to order a drink at the relatively (3 other people in one group) empty bar only to be ignored by 3 staff, we left without receiving any service...at all.

We went to the Druids and got served within 5 mins and it was packed in comparison....

Top tip....go anywhere else

I have just visited your restaurant for the 2nd time this year (I didn’t want to come back after the first visit but my husband persuaded me to give you another chance!!!).

Where do I start. Firstly the service was slow but we decided being the festive mood we would overlook this, having ordered our meals I am informed that you had run out of my first choice the Steak and Ale pie ( I find this to be ludicrous especially as it is a popular meal in winter!) So I chose the burger which in itself was adequate but having looked at other diners burger meal my few chips which were dumped on the plate, other diners had theirs served in nice silver buckets.

Thankfully you managed not to ruin my husbands meal.

Then came desserts you offer only 4!!! So I ordered the Eton Mess only to informed low and behold you have run out!!!!!!!!!!!! What a surprise!

My husband ordered a hot chocolate nothing out of the ordinary but it still took you 20 minutes until we gave up and told you to cancel it. Only to be quite abruptly informed oh it’s just turned up!

I spoke to the manager on leaving and was extremely dismayed at his I couldn’t care less attitude, you have an exceptional amount of competition in Kingston and you couldn’t give a damn I will be posting on trip advisor where I am a highly regarded reviewer with many thousands of followers and likewise on Facebook, Twitter and instagram.

You have an ideal location and a decently decorated restaurant but the way it is run and your menu leave a lot to be desired.
