Yet another unique joint we have seen in Bristol. Amazing cocktails friendly staff and well behaved crowd. Thoroughly enjoyed the night.

We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday is bristol and HMSS was recommended by a close friend. Cannot recommend this place enough, superb location and the staff are lovely they put a different spin on a cocktail bar and offer table service allowing you to relax and enjoy your evening with no such thing as a queue to get a drink. All drinks are equisite and like no other you can get in your local chain cocktail bar. The service is fabulous and adds to a great evening we will be returning!!

Very warm welcome here. The Cocktails were excellent and we loved the showma nship. And how many of us walked I to the broom cupboard instead of the toilet. Xx

The most amazing place. The staff were knowledgeable about the cocktails and the tastes, I didn't choose my own cocktail once - I described what I liked and each of the time I either got a special cocktail made for me or a really amazing cocktail from the menu. The staff constantly filled up our water glasses and took great care to ensure we were happy. The presentation of the drinks was absolutely incredible. One of the best cocktails bars I have ever been to!

Staff are incredible, atmosphere is amazing and the drinks are superb! One of my favourite bars to hang out in, in Bristol. The imagination and creativity that has gone into every drink is inspirational and I can only admire the amount of effort and time that has been put into this menu by the team! Nice welcome on arriving, great drinks and not too expensive. A real fun quirky bar, well looked after at our table by the bearded waiter/barman.

Me and my husband popped in here for a couple and were not disappointed officially my favourite place we visited today! The barman was brilliant and chatty and the drinks were fairly priced and really nice especially for happy hour. Keep it up guys we will be back soon

I’ve been in twice over the last seven days and had an amazing experience both times! My first experience, my friend and I sat at the bar and had a very entertaining time playing jenga and chatting with the barman (James/legend). The second time, sat at a table and enjoyed delicious cocktails and attentive but not invasive service. Just lush.

I had booked a group hen do booking to visit HMSS. From booking the communication was great! Greeted on arrival by very friendly staff and we loved our experience with you guys. Great quirky cocktails. Would defintely recommend and hope to return!

Absolutely brilliant experience. From walking in, sitting down and just being completely bowled over by the pure awesome that is HMSS! Will be going back as often as my kidneys will allow. Magic staff, incredible vibe and oh so delicious drinks!

Staff great, as were the cocktails. However; comfy seating is limited, over 80% of the seats are bar stools with much of them on cramped 4 seater wall benches. I’d really expect to be seated properly when paying premium prices for cocktails. Much prefer Milk Thistle and Hyde & Co. Sorry.

Unfortunately disappointing for me! I ordered a pina colada, it had the taste of the peppercorns they'd put in! It had star annaise and cloves! What on earth is that all about!!! The worst cocktail I've ever had in my life, a pina colada should be thick and creamy with rum and pineapple and coco Lopez coconut cream not cheap coconut milk which is tasteless! Come on guys! At the prices you charge get a bit more authentic after all I made it clear what I was expecting! I know you do quirky off the the wall cocktails and that's fine but dont ruin the classics!

Really gone downhill. I've been here many times and loved it previously. But went back this weekend and it's a shadow of its formerself and left felling very very short-changed. The cocktails were missing many of their key aspects - no catpillars on the strawberry feilds, the tosser didn't have any ice cream added like it usually does and to top it all the twister was missing the integral lolly in the middle! I can't believe how rubbish in comparison to its former self it was, the cocktails weren't nearly as good as they usually taste and many filled with ice to replace the vital aspects. I understand they are busy and run out of things late into the evening on a weekends but think it would be better to not sell a certain cocktail rather than short-change loyal customers and not give what they are supposed to be getting. So many cocktails were just meh and sub par. Service wasn't particularly good either - they had to come back several times to make sure they got the order rather than just writing it down and did forget someone's drink and had to re order so took ages to come! I've spent hundreds here in the past but now wouldn't recommend it. Is there any explanation as to why we were so short-changed this weekend? Leaving a 2 star as it did used to be great and maybe during the week you won't be served substandard cocktails that don't match the description.
