Wonderful lounge area with fresh food made to order. Service can be a little slow but everything else makes it all worth the wait. Excellent fish n chips, their salmon and smoked haddock fish cakes topped with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce keeps us coming back. Nice variety on the menu. Two other restaurants, the main hotel and beside the hotel ŌĆ£NeoŌĆØ are great choices for a more formal dinner or lunch, but my wife and I love the open walk-in lounge and al le carte menu. Not to be overlooked is their afternoon tea, their scones like most everything else are made from scratch and exceptionally good.

User

What a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The staff are outstanding. Everyone is so friendly and eager to please that it really does enhance your stay. Our room was on the small side but had everything you need and the view, the view was stunning. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices and they even provided gluten free toast. We will definitely be going back, we loved it.

User

We had a wonderful stay

Ideally placed by the beach with no hills to climb

The rooms where compact but plenty of room.

The staff were so friendly and helpful and the public areas very comfortable. We had breakfast and bar meals, very good value and very nice . A good choice for breakfast .

We loved the ducks in the room .

We will certainly be back

User

We always have a lovely time, very good staff and an excellent position, near the sea and pier.

User

This is our 3rd time coming to this superb hotel. Myself n my parents (dad being disabled) we find the hotel n staff so accommodating n friendly. The food n drink in hotel are very reasonable n good portions. We have breakfast included n this is as always amazing! Rooms are lovely n clean too. The hotel is so close to all other amenities e.g. Pavilion, sea front n shopping centre. We definitely hope to com again next year

The Hermitage Hotel in Bournemouth is such a beautiful & wonderful hotel. I absolutely loved my stay there. The building, the decor, the staff, the food, hospitality, the everything is wonderful. I would 150% go back there again for a holiday over and over. This time round I was on a business trip, but I felt so comfortable there it is a home from home. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you so much, kindest regards, Belinda Campbell

Stayed at the Hermitage for 3 nights in the middle of June, the hotel is as good or even better than before. Breakfast was lovely, had a single Seaview room which was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Am back here again in 3 weeks time.

User

IŌĆÖve never stayed in this hotel but have dropped in for an afternoon tea with my customer on a few occasions. Excellent service, presentation and value.

User

I chose this hotel because it is immediately opposite the BIC where we were seeing Michael Ball and Alfie Boe, but we were delighted as soon as we checked into this fabulous hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and were always so polite, cheerful and obliging. Our superior sea facing room was light and spacious with probably the most comfortable bed we have slept in! Looking forward to booking another event at the BIC and staying here again.

User

I booked a weeks holiday at very short notice for my elderly Mother, and Brother. When I rang to enquire, the reception staff could not of been more helpful. Both my Mother, and Brother have limited mobility, and the staff all made sure they were looked after, and had everything they needed. When I picked them up at the end of their stay they both told me that this was the best hotel that had ever stayed in. Thank you so much ¤śŖ

User

I booked a one night stay as I was seeing John Bishop at the BIC and was impressed from the minute I checked into a free upgrade lovely room and food but have to say one member of staff really stood out and that was Christopher on reception as he was ultra polite, helpful and remembered my name. Will definitely be back. Really enjoyed my stay and was very convenient as my mum is disabled.

User

Had our wedding reception here 26 years ago this is the first time we've been back. It didn't disappoint still beautiful, the staff were wonderful. The room was beautiful stunning sea view, the food was excellent right next to the gardens and the beautiful beach. Absolutely loved it ŌØż’ĖÅ

User

Fantastic location in a nice building. Only downside to great English weather is no air con, but they found us a fan at 2am as ours didn't work & I was finding the heat tricky for sleeping. Likewise, they brought us an ice bucket each day so we could chill our bottles of water. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I would definitely return.

User

Excellent location of hotel, staff very friendly and accommodating, lovely room very clean and tidy...breakfast top class, well recommended.

User

Excellent Hotel. Our room was tastefully decorated, bathroom was big light and airy. We had a very large bed, which was so comfortable. All staff went that extra mile to help. Breakfast was fantastic. The food and drink in the hotel wasn't dear at all, just normal everyday prices and a lot cheaper and nicer than at the sea front. I will however return and recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

User

Very enjoyable stay only two nights but service was very good , food on Friday night ┬Ż20 3 course excellent value just a bit dear to drink ┬Ż35 for doubles wow.

User

A very disappointing stay. We stayed here after deciding to change from another (better) hotel in Bournemouth. It was a big mistake! Put in the dreaded room 601, on the ground floor. Overlooked from an adjacent corridor when coming out of the shower, it was a depressing little room with no view whatsoever. Honestly felt like a second class citizen here.

User

We have been coming to this hotel for over 15 years for Sunday lunch and it saddens me to say that yesterday was the worst lunch we have experienced! The food was cold, with different sized portions and just generally not very nice! Of course the staff were helpful & friendly but of course they couldn't really make good the problems they were clearly having in the kitchen!! Such a shame!

User

I was o.k. with this hotel up until just over an hour ago, it's now just gone 11.35pm and I've been laying awake for over an hour while the party in the function room has been going on with live music that is making the floor vibrate (not to mention the half hour interlude with what sounded like some sort of auction conducted by a man whose voice was so loud he barely needed the use of the microphone). I'm in a room almost directly above said function room. I've just phoned reception to ask how long the party was going on and been told it would finish at 1am give or take 10 minutes and the live music will go on that long too. A nice little parting shot was the man's 'Have a nice night' just before he put the phone down on me. No offer to do anything, no apologies, and no warning in advance that my room would be noisy. If I didn't want to sleep I would not have bothered booking a hotel room...If I wasn't staying here on my own I would have checked out and found somewhere else to stay tonight. Extremely unhappy.
