What a unique little spot for lunch at Malpas. Roaring fires, superb menu and I am especially impressed by the vegan menu, that was supplied as a supliment to the main event. The staff and atmosphere made our lunchtime meeting last longer than expected, as we really didn't want to leave. A perfect place, just outside the city of Truro, with river views and tranquil scenery.

We went in for a quick drink mid Sunday walk and came out an hour later after a delicious roast! Great service, lovely food, very clean and welcoming.

We have just had a wonderful lunch at the Heron, would definitely recommend, so much to choose from on the menu, will be returning to work our way through it.

We had the most crab salad, flavour excellent,presentation excellent,ambiance ecellent,service excellent. Nulli Secundus. Thank you.

We had a Friday evening meal for 9 people which included one six year old and two toddlers. I can't fault the place, the food was superb including the children's meals. Some places serve junk in children's meals but not here, the children's meals were small versions of the adults - same quality. The staff were vere attentive and, as others have said, engaged with the children. Prices were very reasonable as well. The location is fantastic and the pub has been nicely refurbished since my last visit.

We enjoyed a very lovely evening here on 2/1/2018 for our 2 year anniversary, staff were lovely and the food was delicious, thank you very much for making our evening so enjoyable, will definitely come back and recommend to other people 😃

We eat here every time we come down, great food, great service and they always have the sun shining for us.. perfect... I hope Nick gets better soon, Amanda was in the kitchen and the food was just as amazing and served with a smile from the staff who were working their socks off and not missing anyone out.. welcome to the all of them at the Heron, professional, perfect and polite and proper good ���

Visited with my husband for the first time and the food stunning, staff welcoming, setting lovely - couldn't ask for anything more. Already looking forward to our next visit �

This is a little gem of a place, lovely setting, great food, smashing staff and dog friendly, what more can you ask for.

Such a lovely pub with very friendly and welcoming staff serving wonderful food. Great sun terrace overlooking the river which makes it wonderful in the summer time. It's lovely in the winter too as it's nice and cosy with the fire going.

Lovely lunch, superb views, just needs more table seating outside! Although it’s lovely inside too. But as locals, will go back...over and over again!

Loved it. Food delicious. Everything that came out of the kitchen looks gorgeous. Great value for money. Wished we lived in Malpas so we could enjoy this as our local! No such luck!

Great spot great people and we go there often , Always take any visitors who come to Truro to this place for lunch .

Excellent staff, food and drinks choices. Really well looked after in an idyllic setting. Had Scallops which were delicious and Cornish gin! Lots of thoughtful touches to the menu and decor.

Cant recommend this place enough. They were fab with my dog as soon as we walked in made a big fuss and offered her some treats. The service was great, friendly efficient staff. The food was incredible, we have mussels, tiger prawns and squid rings to start and they were all cooked beautifully. Then for mains we had a dressed crab salad, ham ploughmans and the cod and chips. All of it was cooked perfectly and to know the crab was caught that morning and locally was even better. Will definitely be returning.

A warm and friendly welcome, followed by great service. We stayed for lunch from an interesting menu, served in a glorious river setting. We will definitely return.

A really nice pub with absolutely lovely food and nice and friendly staff. Will recommend to anyone.
