Conditions such as Diabetes can have a huge impact on our eyes! Maintaining regular eye checks is a great way to keep track of your eye health.
In partnership with A1Optician Ltd, HILS offer FREE eye screening in the comfort of your own home, for more details on eligibility click here: https://hertsindependentliving.org/home-e ye-testing-service/

We often link growing older with getting thinner, but this shouldn't be the case! Using skimmed milk powder to fortify food and drinks is an easy 'weigh', to increase calories and tackle unintentional weight loss....see what we did there 😉 https://youtu.be/kS9VgVCMzi8

As the weather gets warmer sometimes a nice cool lunch is all we need, this spring-summer our clients can enjoy chilled salads instead of hot meals. From Tuna and coleslaw to Ham or Cheese, our traditional salads are the perfect treat 😀 Click here: (link: http://ow.ly/97tV50twhgl) ow.ly/97tV50twhgl

Not only is #dementia important to our organisation, it also affects the lives of our team members. Karen has worked with us for three years supporting the older community as one of our Nutrition and wellbeing Visitors. But outside of work, Karen cares for her mum Joyce who was diagnosed with dementia two years ago. Here is their story. #DAW19 #askusanything
