Good quick service, attentive but not all too friendly. Overall would recommend, but a bit annoying there isn't a route without dipping into the congestion charge zone

Caution!!!! Do not rent at this location, i had a reservation made thru Expedia, when i got to the location they said Expedia Cancelled the reservation , which wasn't true, but they can rent me the car for the Triple of the Fee i Booked on Expedia, i had no option so i had to let them Robe me, PRATEEK the Agent told me that the voucher also was 200-300 Higher that what they quoted and i will receive a refund after returning, deposit i never received back. please be careful at this Hertz Branch they are thieves.

CAUTION!!!
On 01/20/2017, I made a $ 724 contract with Hertz in Brazil to lease a car in the UK from May 11 to 29, 2017. I presented the paid voucher upon withdrawal at RUSSELL SQUARE 156 SOUTHAMPTON ROW
LONDON. I returned the car at Heatrow Airport without major problems. When I arrived in Brazil, I noticed a charge of the same amount that had already been paid at the lease in Brazil, that is, I was charged by the employee of the Hertz store of RUSSELL SQUARE 156 SOUTHAMPTON ROW, who ignored the voucher we gave to the retreat. I do not know the reason for this improper recovery but I expect to be compensated in the amount I was injured.

DO NOT USE!
Booked a small economy car, got stuck with an SUV type thing. I wanted a small vehicle as was doing lots of miles and wanted to save on fuel. They insisted this was an upgrade but I didn't want it and they didn't have anything smaller for me.
I was then upsold a service that you can return the tank empty and patrol charge 5p less than average (not true, saw petrol at 10p less per litre at most stations).
Nail in coffin: I was charged two "administration fees" for the Dartford Crossong at 42£ each, this was simply to give the company my name and address so they can contact me to collect the fine which should have been about £37.50 if paid within 14 days (so if Hertz were a decent company they could pay this fine for you and still make a few quid for the administration).
I understand companies are in business to make money but they are completely heartless.
Use Avis on Eversholt street for a better service and very similar price and no headaches. Hertz not worth saving a few extra pounds as they'll find was to continually extract money from you.

Don´t go. Staff was highly incompetent, very bad English.
I had a pre-paid voucher from abroad. It took the staff almost two hours to provide a car. We agreed that I´d also prepay the petrol and return the car with an empty petrol tank.
At the end it turned out that they made me sign a new contract and insurance. So I was charged additionally to my pre-paid voucher. Also they did not record that I intended to prepay the petrol so that the company made me pay the whole petrol tank (over 140GBP!!!). Took me 4 months to get back the money for the additional contract. Nevertheless I had to pay the 140 GBP for the petrol. Ridiculous!
Never experienced such incompetence before.

I used these guys several times and each time they provided wonderful service. The cars that I rent are always clean with full tanks. They are pricey, but I prefer better customer service at higher price than anything else.

Took time out from my lunch hour to register for Hertz on demand. It clearly says on the website:

"Visit the branch during normal opening hours to create a Hertz 24/7 profile"
"Present a valid driving licence and method of payment at the counter & we'll do the rest!"

The man behind the counter was so lazy and told me "go home and go on-line and register a profile, then you also need the license paper counterpart. He also said that he could not call the DVLA to check my points because he can only do it for normal and not on demand rentals"

What an absolute waste of time. "Book. Swipe. Go! my a**"
