Really lovely place. Very spacious, clear one way routes where needed. Out of season so I'm sure that the place is going to look even more beautiful, but worth the trade-off for the quieter day with fewer visitors. Ran out of time for the boats so we will be back!

Great place to take kids for family day out. Very pretty and looked after. Parking is made easy by having coordinators in place. Loads of space to walk around and run. Massive playground with loads of things to do. Food places open, ice-cream and pizza available as well as hot drinks. Catered for everyone - families, couples, people who are looking to escape city, fresh air lovers, garden and art lovers. Italian garden - Fabulous

Hever is limited the times for visitors to avoid large queues at the entry gates. Once inside there is ample room for you to wander around and enjoy the gardens and the lake. Plenty of space for children to run around and adults to enjoy a picnic.
The water maze also limits the numbers at any one time. Plenty of children were enjoying this when we visited.
We were still able to access food and drinks although these had to be taken outside.
Overall, a safe and enjoyable day out.

On a sunny day it is a great place to be. If you like walking then if you do a whole walk around lake it will be at least 1hour. Don't have kids but kids play area looks really good. Would recommend this place for sure.

A really good experience the staff were amazing. I had accidentally booked on the wrong day and the man at the ticket office recommended to phone the main reception to see if they could amend the booking. They were extremely friendly and graciously agreed to transfer it to the day after (which we thought we had booked). Can't speak highly enough of a great day out as well as great customer service.

Visited a bit over a year ago, would definitely go back . It was a great day very relaxing. The place is amazing. Feeding the ducks was also very enjoyable and my toddler had so much fun! The food was nice as well.

Loved this place, totally amazing. I had always wanted to visit and I finally got to go and even stay in the hotel behind the castle. Really great fun trip and suitable for all ages. The gardens are very pretty with plenty of walking areas, including a river walk, and a maze to get through too. The castle itself is excellent and plenty of information boards around so you know exactly what you are in front of. We bought a book and used that rather than have a tour, we could then go at our own pace.
Don't hesitate to visit if you love history and or the tutors.

The castle and grounds are beautiful, and it's definitely worth visiting when an event is on, such as jousting or other reenactments. However... beware of price gouging! Having spent close to £50 for a family ticket, they know they have a captive audience and will milk this to the full extent possible, activities such as archery cost yet more money and you can expect to see food and drink with a 150-200% markup compared to similar shops/restaurants outside of the grounds. For example; don't expect any change from a further £30 for two sandwiches and ice-creams for 3 kids, and any drinks on top of that will be an additional £3 each. Bringing your own drinks/snacks is highly advisable, and I'd further recommend a full picnic too; not only will you potentially save a fortune, but you can also avoid some of the excessive queues that build up whenever a popular event is on.

Amazing castle where Anne Boleyn lived. Castle exhibitions show not only the Tudors history, but also what happened to the castle later. The garden it's absolutely amazing. There are lots of activities, so plan to spend the day. Castle it's located about 20 minutes walking from the Hever train station. I highly recommend it.

One of the best. Fabulous day
out for all the family. Beautiful
grounds. The Castle radiates
history. A brilliant backdrop for
all sorts of functions. A popular
cafe selling local produce. Katie
said her pizza was excellent. 5*
B&B.

Bring a picnic as the queues for food can be quite long. The gardens are absolutely stunning. The castle is quite small and not particularly well laid out, I would say it's fine just to get a garden ticket. Spend the money on boating on the lake or archery!

Visited during Easter weekend so it was super busy and very popular with families taking part in the Easter bunny hunt. Castle is small and therefore feels slightly overcrowded when you are walking around. I used the audio guide but it was tricky finding somewhere to stand in each room while listening to it. The gardens were full of tulips and it was nice to do the lake walk to get away from the crowds. We passed by some woods full of bluebells, it was very idyllic. Cafes were ok, with snacks and cakes, plus there was a pizza van.

Family home of Anne Boleyn with stunning grounds and gardens. A really well-kept historical property with lots of interest for kids too. They especially enjoyed hiring a rowing boat on the lake and the water maze!

The gardens and grounds out to the lakes around the castle are gorgeous. I went in spring when all the flowers and trees were in full bloom and it was stunning! The castle itself was smaller than I thought it'd be but overall one of the prettiest places i've been on a day trip from London.
