Went to see Mike + the Mechanics on Tuesday night. Fantastic show. I've been going to the Hexagon for several years now to see various types of show. Always had a good time, great venue and helpful staff.

Went to see Magic Of Motown. Very good view even though seat was quite high up and back. Catering staff worked well under pressure of being obviously busy. Was shown directly to seat by usherette. Evening parking for £3.50 very good value. Would happily go again.

We went to see Imelda May (no relation). She was excellent, exceeded all our expectations. Brilliant venue. Brilliant evening. Worth the wait as the original date was cancelled so she could go on Graham Norton. So it was the end of tour show.

We attended last night to see "Some guys have all the luck" it was amazing x l love the Hexigon from trending the boards as a child at secondary school to now (30yrs). But last night was tarred slightly with regards to disabled couple at the front were abused and assaulted by drunk and uncouth people to whom l reported but the couple were already so upset that they left halfway thru the show. Disabled ppl need to be shown more respect.

The booking clerk was very helpful at the point of sale and we were happy with the suggested seats for the Elvis show on 14th. If I could make any suggestions it would be that the tickets should state 'show starts at' and maybe suggest that everyone is seated at least 10 minutes before the start of the show.

Further to that I'd like to add that whilst I happily took notice that photos and videos are not allowed in the auditorium it's obvious that some people ignored the request and I feel they should have been spoken to during the interval - for my own and everyone else's benefit

The Wizard Of Oz by the Sainsbury Singers. Attended with my daughter. A thoroughly enjoyable retelling of everyone's favourite musical film. The little dog, Toto was so happy to be on stage. Special praise to the Lion,, as with the movie, he gets the best comical lines. The munchkins were a delight. Overall a great show. Recommended for all ages.

It's been around a while. I think I was 10 when it first was around. Never been their and I'm now 37 years older. The staff were professional and on everything . They stepped back as others enjoyed themselves knowing health and safety was sorted. Top dollar. Nice to see the doorman enjoying himself. It was good. Paul Rouse was top dollar and the hexagon let people enjoy him whilst looking out for others. Top show and staff.

It was a wonderful, performance by the actors. Loved Dolly and Justin Fletcher. I loved the interactions with the children! I watched their excited faces and it made me happy that we took them for this play! We are looking forward to more plays like this in the future!

I saw Imelda May last night. I was impressed with the venue and collecting my tickets was quick and easy. Even though my seat was in the back row of the circle I had a great view and the sound was very good. Parking was easy at the nearby car park it I think £4 is a bit expensive on top of the ticket prices. I’ve been to similar venues like this, the Alban Arena in St Albans and the car park there is free and there is plenty of off street parking too.

I can't thank the staff enough. A friend bought myself and friends really good 2nd row seats for Russell Howard. Unfortunately my girlfriend had anxiety issues that night due to being so close to the front and it being so busy. They couldn't do enough for us and found us a corner away from the crowds. So we was able watch it without any worries. Thank you, thank you x

Great venue. Due to the compact nature of the arena you get a great view and are quite close to the stage. Great amenities for food and drink too.

I went to see Shakin Stevens with my teenage daughter for her birthday. If people were going there expecting him to churn out his old stuff and otherwise sing a raft of commercial sing-along songs then they would have been disappointed . . . He's clearly tried to reinvent himself as a 'serious artist' which he's done moderately well. His new stuff is never going to be the massive hits of the old days. I respect him for trying his new bluegrass / blues rock type sound but I suspect the mass appeal audience who may have gone for his hits of the early 80's would have been disappointed. He did play some of his old stuff towards the end but even this had a different twist on it. He is still a class act though, looks good, 'Elvis-esk', still got his voice (his hair!) but he won't appeal to everyone in the way he did. My teen daughter thought he was cool and thought it was 'so good'. She had no preconceptions about what the show was going to deliver. I (at 47) am just pleased to have seen a hero of my youth! and respect the guy for continuing to perform to a high standard while trying new stuff and a different sound.

Excellent, pity the Hexagon does not attract more pop groups and Musicals. Too often we end up going to Oxford, High Wycombe or London to see what we want to watch. Such a pity as the Hexagon is only one mile away and we can walk there!! Reading should have a world class Theater

Best parking is the NCP Cheap rate after 6pm. Helpful staff. Catering cafeteria : not much choice and staff under a lot of pressure to cope. Had a good night watching Mike and the Machanice's. Would go again but would get food outside first.

User

Although getting on like the Stranglers myself and the majority of the audience the position of the stage and ability to get a good close up view is excellent

I was very surprised to see that no security checks were performed on the doors considering recent events in the UK.

The air conditioning was also very poor and the seating was very uncomfortable.

I was however pleasantly surprised with the downstairs bar area which has been nicely refurbished, although the prices for drinks were extortionate.

I don't think I would visit again unless for a very good reason.

Great show last night for Jamie Raven Magic Live. My only two complaints are that there was no sufficient water coming out the taps in the ladies toilet upstairs. Surely you can do better than a dribble especially for hygiene reasons. The lack of leg room was also ridiculous in row D upstairs. I'm 5ft 8 with long legs so I can't imagine how someone a lot taller coped.

Google maps took us to the lower level where there isn't an entrance when arriving from the train station. Building work in this area makes it difficult to work out where to go!

Hexigon do not give you any guidance as to how to enter this building!! Had to ask around to find the entrance.....

Hexigon note ***look after your visitor's as we aren't all familiar with this area and we're not all locals! ****
