Went here the other night just could we couldn’t be bothered to cook. Just amazing service was grate and there is so much for the kids to do while you wait so didn’t seam like long till our food was on the table. Food was grate. Just so so easy and nice tasting food.
Thank you
We went for my sons birthday and were very impressed. Lovely food and service only criticism would be that my rib eye steak was very small 😟very tasty never the less Will definitely be back
We booked to go to this venue as a family for my sons 25th Birthday. We ordered drinks and food. Everyones food came out except mine. I waited and waited and then someone asked if we were ok. I explained I was still waiting. They were more than apologetic and I received my food very quickly. There took the price of mine off the bill and I had a complementary drink. The table tennis kept the boys busy. All in all, a lovely afternoon in a lovely venue.
We are regulars at hickorys and tonight we booked for my son's birthday. Food was great but some things didn't go quite to plan. Asked to have a quiet word with the manager, who couldn't of helped us enough. Although things weren't great tonight, we won't stop coming here as the customer service was second to none and all was resolved brilliantly. Huge thanks to the manager on duty.
It's not a place we go regularly as we like to savour the night when we do, the staff were wonderful, it was a very warm night and we was sat by a door so it was lovely and cooling, the portion sizes are amazing, so much I bought some of the meat back, it's not the cheapest but when your wife states that the steak was probably the best she has ever had, it makes it more worth it
I visited Hickory’s for the first time last night with a friend. Our waiter was chatty and friendly, the food was delicious (we had brisket followed by chocolate brownie) and arrived very quickly even though the restaurant was rather busy. I will definitely be visiting again soon and would highly recommend it to friends and family.
I had been too the safari and had proposed to my partner in the lion enclosed , on the way home was looking for somewhere nice to eat and celebrate . I am always dubious of places claiming authentic American BBQ food but was willing to give it a go . I ordered the platter for 2 and a cloudy lemonade and Ice tea and mint for my partner . The meat fell of the ribs , so juicy and delicious, the pork belly was amazing even the beans which had pulled pork through them were top notch , the star of platter was however the brisket perfect slices of juicy brisket melting in your mouth I eat until I was stuffed , such good quality food combined with great waiters/ waitress and the manager Sam who came over had a chat was a genuinely Top bloke just topped off the whole experience . It’s an hour from my house minimum but I will be returning with the whole family , WELL DONE guys u smashed it
Honestly one of the best places iv been for a meal. The prices at 1st glance may seem steep but the quality and quantity is well worth the money. The atmosphere is perfect and the staff are amazing would 100% recommend anyone to go
Had an amazing experience at Hickories. Katie looked after our party all night, and never stopped smiling. She kept our glasses full, and ensured everything ran smoothly. Couldn’t have wished for better service. Thanks to Katie, we shall be back again. Great addition to the Hickories team.
My visit was only hindered by Rebel Wilson scowling in the corner, like some sort of rabid feral sow. But otherwise, perfect.
First visit for us & it was Fantastic! Couldn't fit in any afters. Huge portions & the quality was awesome. Not cheap 3 of us with drinks £90 odd quid, BUT 100% worth it. Nice touches like the pop corn & a bottle of water, while reading the yummy menu... we will definitely be back. Thank you.
Fabulous experience for start to finish. Some lowly little gestures too! Popcorn arrived on the table for the kids to have in the cinema! Table tennis to also keep them occupied and lovely blankets if it drops a bit chilly when sat outside! Food was excellent. Kids meals are excellent value also. Hubby had steak and said it melted in his mouth! Huge food menu to choose from and the drinks menu is massive too! Would definitely recommend.
Excellent service from all staff. Food and cocktails were perfect and even had a little cinema room and ping pong tables. We have paid x3 the bill elsewhere with service that didnt even come close to here. Definitely our new family fave!
Absolutely superb greeted with a very friendly face service was very good and the food to die for will definitely be going again
For the record I had the brisket which u could cut with a spoon and the wife had the pulled pork which was extremely nice and portions were good
For dessert I had waffles with maple syrup and ice cream which was luvly n the wife had frozen custard with blueberries which was to die for
Great atmosphere and surroundings. Staff are professional and friendly. My only criticism is down to my own personal thoughts on the brisket. Gorgeous meat and so tasty but after awhile it gets extremely dry to swallow. Perhaps a glaze or sauce is preferable. But that’s just my taste. My husband had the pulled pork with beans and really enjoyed it. Plus the onion rings, which are huge so we shared , are fantastic.
Cocktails were lovely, but service was very very poor for a Friday night. Ordered nachos for "bar snacks" but had to wait over an hour to get them. Then when I asked the staff where they were I was asked for receipt, felt as if I was crook asking for free nachos or something?! Put a right downer on out night out. To be fair though the second waiter that we spoke to was top class.
I have to be honest I was disappointed. First visit for us. 5 guests and my husband had a steak which was approx £21 it came with chips that’s it. It was no bigger than a rasher of bacon. Even a budget restaurant would have added mushrooms, tomatoes, onion rings etc. 4 people had coleslaw my husband didn’t. He was very disappointed. It was lost on his plate. Very over priced. My son had what was called a double burger this was also disappointing it was about the thickness of a 99p Mac Donald’s burger. The other 3 dishes were good. Also very disappointing was the waiting time for drinks. We waited twice for 2 rounds of drinks which took 20 minutes each time and we had to chase the waitress. Cost was approx £95. We had so looked forward to it as it was a birthdaymeal for our 21 year old twins. Not sure if I would revidity🤔
As a regular to Hickorys, I must start by saying that food here is always great and the staff are always friendly, however today was a real disappointment.
Two of us attended for lunch today, for the 2 course special, which took staff over two hours to turn around. There were about ten tables of various party sizes that had been segregated to a single area of the restaurant, understandably to make things easier for the serving staff, but even for quiet Tuesday lunchtime service they were clearly under staffed. We waited over half an hour for our starters and a further 40 minutes for our mains. When our plates were collected for our mains, we asked for the bill and, when it didin't arrive after 15 minutes, I got up to find a member of staff to pay. Frustratingly, there wasn't a single member of staff on the floor of the restaurant, and that is no exaggeration! When someone finally emerged from the kitchen to serve another table food, they spotted us and we were finally able to pay and leave.
Again, the food was great and the staff that we dealt with were polite as always. This issue is clearly down to poor management, and it's a shame that it falls under the umbrella of 'poor service' when the staff, both in the kitchen and front of house, were clearly struggling to cope.
We did book. We ordered 3 basic meals. Brisket sandwich no pickles and 2 chicken burgers 1 plain. 50 mins after ordering 2 meals arrived. Asked a female team member if she could get our 3rd missing meal she never came back to me. Our own server then walked past and asked are you missing a meal? When he eventually walked past with still no 3rd meal I gave him our 2 cold meals back as when I order 3 meals I expect 3 meals so we can all eat together. Still waiting still no food. Therefore I went and asked the manager to help. He did eventually bring back our 2 cold meals and a non plain chicken burger so all the meals went back again. Then 3rd attempt we got a plain chicken burger with our cold brisket sandwich and my lukewarm chicken burger. Yes the manager did finds lots of people to blame yes he did say sorry and yes he did pay the bill. However I didn't want a confrontational evening or a cold free family meal. I wanted an enjoyable relaxed family meal which you failed at every opportunity to provide. Quality is always better than quantity. All you wanted was bums on seats last night.
So we booked up well in advance with the website stating we had an hour and a half slot. I drive past here regularly and the car park’s always rammed so I expected it to be busy on a Saturday night. After we arrived we had to wait 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Chicken wing starters were nothing to write home about. The killer though was waiting an hour for our main course to arrive. By now we have exceeded our 90 minute slot. When the table next to us (who had arrived at least 20 mins after us) got served that was the last straw. We walked out. My advice is to go to Harley’s in Kinver. Been there a few times and never had a problem.
