Yet another amazing stay. We’ve been coming to Hidden River Cabins for 6 years now and we love it our choco lab has the best time with fantastic walks and swimming! Cannot recommend this place highly enough .. staff amazing and the food is superb, already looking a booking again this year!

What a fantastic wedding we had there.. the weather was gorgeous the location and cabins are beautiful.. a special mention to the lovey Nic who organised us all and made everything run smoothly, and the fantastic team in the bistro Sam and Sonya are lovely everyone make you feel welcome. We’ve just got home for an amazing weekend at Hidden River House for my sister’s Hen Do, what a beautiful house renovated to the highest standards! We were so lucky to be blessed with beautiful weather and the view from the hot tub was stunning. Can’t wait to come back!

We’ve just got back from 3 days of heaven staying at the beautiful Hidden River House. We hired both wings for my sisters hen weekend. What a fabulous house. From the moment we pulled up outside we were blown away! The house is absolutely stunning, renovated to a very high standard throughout. The sun shone from the day we got there and we made use of the lovely spacious garden and of course hot tubs! We all felt as if we’d been in a chateau in the south of France for 3 days and no one wanted to leave! Would highly recommend, and would definitely love to return. Thank you

We only stay one night which to be fair wasn't nearly long enough but the whole place is beautiful would recommend to anyone friendly staff and stunning views it's 10/10 will be definitely returning thanks for a lovely night

We got married here a few weeks ago and had the best time! Gillian made the whole planning process so easy, and understood exactly the type of wedding we were after. Tom and Sonya in the cafe were brilliant and made us the best wedding breakfast we could ask for. We loved that we had complete control and flexibility over all the details, and that we were able to make the day exactly as we wanted it, rather than choosing from a package list. The venue speaks for itself, right by the river and totally secluded with lots of places to take gorgeous photographs. I just wish we could do the day all over again!

We got married at Hidden River Cabins in November. We had been looking for an intimate venue and having spoken to Nic and eaten at the restaurant we knew this was the venue. Stunning location and luxurious cabins and tentative staff made for a perfect day.



When it came to the wedding breakfast we were looking for something bespoke and Tom was able to deliver on our vision. All the guests commented on how amazing the food looked and tasted.



From the first meeting with Nic to the day itself we were expertly guided through our special day. Nic gave us a sense of calm and on the day she planned everything to perfection and ensured our day ran smoothly as well as managing us and the guests.



Hidden River Cabins has everything we wanted for a perfect day.

We arrived in July for our 1st honeymoon and was welcomed by friendly Staff, our Cabin was located at the end of a stream and the scenery was beautiful and peaceful and relaxing just what we needed, the cabin was very spacious and the hot tub was great. Even our 3 dogs enjoyed there stay. Would highly recommend and would love to return for a peaceful and relaxing time in the future.

Totally amazing place, each cabin is totally isolated from the nearest, the cafe and staff are superb (cracking breakfast), very friendly cows which my wife has adopted (or they her...) and will 100% be back.

Stayed in the Kingfisher cabin for three nights and didn't want to leave! The setting is stunning and the cabin itself was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and helpful and our evening meal on our last night was superb. Would have eaten there all week but is only open Wednesday to Sunday. Cabins were equipped with all you could wish for and the hot tub was a lovely feature. Will definitely be back - our dogs enjoyed it as much as we did.

My partner booked the Roe Deer cabin as a surprise for me and it was the most amazing couple of days I have ever had. From the beautifully designed cabins to the amazing meal we had on our last evening. I was welcomed back to the cabin after our meal to a bunch of red roses and a bottle of champagne. This cabin will always be a special place to me as it is where David proposed.. A special thank you to each and everyone of you xxx

Me and my wife got married here a few weeks ago. There isn't a lot that I can say about this place, that others haven't already said.



The wedding went perfectly. Having booked the venue 14 months earlier, and the usual worries on the weeks heading upto the big day, Nic and her team ensured that everything went smoothly on the day. We got married in the Foxglove cabin, which had brilliant views for the wedding photos. The food at the wedding breakfast was delightful and the room decorations in the reception building were exactly how we wanted. Somehow, Nic went the extra mile and managed to get the weather to be perfect for the day - I don't know how she did it! If you are looking for a beautiful wedding venue that will deliver your dream wedding, then I recommend HRC.



After the wedding, we stayed in the Roe Deer cabin for the week. The cabins really are 5 star accomodation. The cabins are packed with everything you would ever need for a week in the middle of no where. No phone signal and no wifi make you appreciate just how nice the countryside is. Sat in the hot tub in the afternoon sun, or walking by the river in the crisp morning air, there is plenty of wildlife to stop and watch (if you're quiet enough). The reception building is a nice short walk away if you fancy a cup of tea or a light meal, and the staff in the reception are very friendly.



Overall I am extremely happy we found this place. A week here is the perfect place to relax and unwind - which is probably why we have booked again for next year.

I was recently the groom at our hidden river cabins tipi themed wedding, it was the best day of my life, all the staff were wonderful, Rachael and Rob and especially Nicky couldn't do enough to ensure things ran smoothly, our friends and family loved the location and most have vowed to return themselves, I would like to thank all involved for their amazing treatment of our loved ones, their professional service and beautiful venue was perfect and it will be a weekend none of us will ever forget

I have just gotten home from a magical week at Hidden River Cabins. My husband and I decided to book this venue for our wedding day as we wanted a small, relaxed wedding in an outdoor setting and HRC had everything that we were looking for. We got married in the Foxglove cabin and had our reception in the cafe/reception building. The location is truly beautiful alongside the river and there is so much space in-between each cabin it is very peaceful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the wedding co-ordinator, Nic, worked so hard to make our day perfect. As we chose a venue that is outside of our local area some of the organising was difficult; Nic would not let me worry about anything and she helped me to find a company to decorate the cabin that we got married in. They are very flexible and will go that extra mile to accommodate your vision for your wedding day. We booked all 5 cabins for our guests to stay in for 3 nights and we stayed for an extra 4 nights for a mini-honeymoon. The cabins are beautiful, they are so spacious and have everything you could possibly need, including a tea tray with a selection of all different types of tea. The views are stunning from each cabin and it was very exciting to watch the wildlife each day. There is no phone signal and wifi can only be accessed in the cafe so you really can switch off and relax. I am so pleased that we chose HRC for our wedding day and I highly recommend them, we loved our stay so much we have already booked to go back next year!

Hidden River House - we were all here for my sisters hen party, absolutely amazing! Gorgeous house and the views were unreal!

Have just spent our second vist at HRC... the last one a long weekend with friends and our puppies in the Kingfisher cabin. As my husband had spoken with Julia from HRC ... it was decorated with balloons and a banner for my birthday and as previously requested a bouquet of flowers and rose petals on our bed were there to greet me on our arrival. Our friends decided to join us as a last minute decision and were accommodated in our cabin without any problems. Nothing was too much trouble, Kelly greeted us on our arrival and escorted us to our wonderful cabin. Rob and his staff made us feel like it was only us they were looking after when of course they were looking after the other guests also. They are such a friendly bunch, it's like we've known them for years.

The cabin was ample sized, spotlessly clean and with all appliances, washing machine,dishwasher, freezer including a separate wine/beer chilling fridge , even dog bowls should we have needed them!

The wood burner made us feel oh so cosy on these late October evenings and we had a plentyful supply of logs.

Although I had seen photos of the Kingfisher cabin on the HRC website ..actually seeing it was breath taking. It felt like we were in our own little corner of paradise. The hot tub and the views of the river and countryside from it were amazing. Star gazing into the early hours from the hot tub was something I never thought I'd ever experience.

It is also dog friendly which makes planning a stay here ideal for dog lovers too.

The food served at the Hidden River Cafe is fantastic, no! Its beyond fantastic. The presentation of every meal a technical foody marvel, a must try. I was lucky enough to have afternoon tea, breakfast and my birthday evening meal here over the course of a long weekend. Craig and his Hidden River Cafe crew again as with the HRC staff all so very helpful and friendly. I have finally found my secret retreat. We will be returning again , of that there is no doubt.

Thankyou all for making my 56th birthday a memory to treasure. I was truly spoilt.

Attended today for my best friends wedding, beautiful location for a quiet intimate weddings. The staff are wonderful, so helpful charging up my mobile phone for me on arrival, during the wedding they provided a friendly relaxed and beautiful setting, the food was also excellent. Will definitely be looking into returning for a holiday. Fantastic job in my opinion, well done Hidden River Cabins.

Absolutely beautiful idyllic retreat. Set on a river with unbelievable views. Cabins are very spacious and comfortable. We took our dogs and the woodland walks were ideal. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff who were extremely pleasant and very accommodating.
