Our monthly informal Audio project night, where we open up our workshop here at the Hifi Hangar. Held every 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Part "Show&Tell", part get some old HiFi going, part prodding you with a stick to "get on with it". Always informal, always social.
Bring along your unfinished DIY HiFi projects to get a couple of hours further on in a supportive environment.

Working late? Have to put the children to bed first? No problems. Turn up later. We'll be here 'till gone 9 at least.
It's aslo ok to come just come down for a bit of a geeky social.
New people always welcome. Turn up for as long or as little as you want. Requests always taken. Biscuits especially welcome.
If you let us know what you plan to do in advance we can make sure we have the correct tools, test equipment and materials here. Message us here and we'll do our best.

Old TV's WANTED!!!!!
Yes, i know this is out of Character for us, but we have been asked to collect 100 old Tellys... (you know, the old square CRT's with the big backs of yester year, especially wooden ones.. but even the 14" portable Ferguson TX plastic ones are fine...
It's for a 'wall of TVs' art installation in a nightclub in Russia, organised by the same guys as the Speaker walls in Dubai that we did a while back...
... If any one can help, we can pay unto £25 per telly...

Heads up for an interesting future event here at the Hangar. I have just been on the 'phone to Jonathan Billington of Music First Audio, about an open day to showcase a full Music First System, including preamp, step-up and mono blocks. Anyone who is familiar with MF products will know how good they are...
... This will be an open event, so please let me know if this is up your street.
Those of you who came to last record/hifi fair, will remember Jonathan donated a £1500 preamp as a raffle price, Nuff said, please show your support if you can, this is going to be great event, and we'll also provide refreshments and possible a BBQ!!

Steve getting all exited about this rather cool Sony Pro Walkman. All working as it should and sounding amazing, these really are worthy of their reputation, and it comes in it's original red velvet & leather case!

HEADPHONE MADNESS AT THE HANGAR!! A large collection of Headphone stuff has juts landed!

bought a lovely pair of jbl speakers from the hanger they have been beautifully re foamed and are as good as the day they left the factory many moons ago. They sound wonderful. superb service from start to finish from some of the most friendly people you would ever wish to deal with.

Very good place. First popped in after visiting a local record shop saw a couple of nice looking speakers. They were happy to let me come back and bring in my home speakers to audition against and I spent a couple of hours switching between them. Did not feel rushed, even though it was starting to get late and very importantly, was not at all bamboozled / hassled; just left to listen on my own for most of the time, which is what I wanted. Ended up leaving with a very nice set of Harbeth monitor speakers :-).

This shop and the staff are absolutely fantastic!! Go nowhere else. Make this your first stop. Friendly, approachable staff, very knowledgeable and not snobby like some of these specialist shops are. Some of these specialist shops make you feel like a pauper and not part of their "exclusive club". Not these guys. They make you feel like part of an "enthusiasts club" open to everyone. All comers welcome. A fantastic experience. I had an issue with my Turntable, they could have ripped me off, charged me a fortune and I'd have known no better. Instead of that, they welcomed me & my 3 kids in. Gave my kids a drink of squash each, gave my kids a tour of their workshop & their fabulous 1970's themed demo room, fixed my turntable issue, gave me some advice, and were thoroughly fiendly throughout. Moreover, they charged me absolutely nothing for the whole thing!! Absolutely fabulous. Can't recommend them highly enough. As a result, my kids have now got the "bug" and have each said they'd like their own turntable each one day. When it's time to buy them one, HiFi Hangar will be our first stop. Make it yours for everything HiFi !!!

The service was excellent. Absolutely loved the place. And the retro room-SO cool!

Only dealt via their eBay shop, but everything has been excellent value, perfectly described with multiple photos leaving no room for doubt and packed by a complete expert so no damage could occur even if shipped by the most determined Hermes Crusader. (It wasn't!). There's amazing kit here too. An award-winner in my book.

Now my favourite shop - welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Amazing hi-fi setups to enjoy and gawp at. Love the vintage room. Still can't believe the amazing deal you guys did on my Pioneer setup. Many thanks!

Love this place, wide range of genuine hifi products and plain talking unpretentious advice. Nice one Steve, will be back soon.

I rocked up with my gpo attaché turntable looking for a new needle and l walked away with a new to me turntable amp and speakers. I’m very happy, very very happy having listened to Bowie and watched MotoGP qualifying through the amp and speakers. Awesome guys, thank you so much for starting a love affair with what used to be taken for granted for so many of us oldies xxx

I needed a new stylus immediately last Friday. I called Hifi Hangar having found it in the internet, told Steve the name of my stylus and he immediately said - 'yes we've got one and will fit it'. Fantastic. Imagine the reaction at one of the bigger companies - not the same I imagine... Anyway, I drove to the shop and Steve (the owner), fitted the stylus, tested it, made sure I was happy and charged me a rock bottom price!!! I can't thank him enough. Wonderful service in every way.

I bought the first Icon Valve Integrated Amplifier from HiFi Hangar. I am not very knowledgeable on HiFi and received excellent and expert service from Steve. A good price and many extras thrown in ensured that I was very satisfied with the overall buying experience. I really enjoy the sound from my new amplifier.
