Elevated site with lots of space to pitch our Bongo and awning. If you like wildlife then you'll live the site's ducks who patrol the pitches and cleanup any scraps dropped. Wooller is just down the road and with plenty of places to eat out.

DO NOT BOOK THIS SITE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE ANY FUN. PLEASE READ ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING AS THEY ARE ALL TRUE IN MY EXPERIENCE.....
I stayed here bank holiday weekend with family and every encounter with the owners was disgusting. Their attitude stinks nearly as much as the toilets.

Very easy to find ( look for the statue of a stag on the Burnhouse Road which is the top of Wooler High Street) and seems to be relaxed about check in time. We arrived about noon and the owner couldn't have been more helpful.
In the Ladies there are 3 showers ( no charge for hot water but 20p for the hair dryer) and 5 toilets. Every time I visited it was clean and there's a mop to do the shower after use or the floor if it is a wet day.
Mature trees in the middle of the site part caravans from tents and provide welcome shelter from the South West wind and the lee of these is the flattest place to pitch.
There's a footpath out of the tent field that leads to the Cheviot hills via a collection of houses at Humbleton ( perfect for dog walking) and it is less than 5 minutes' walk into Wooler for shops and pubs in the opposite direction.

The Milk Bar at the South side of Wooler serves locally made Doddington ice cream but be aware that it shuts on the dot of 5 and Wooler still observes a half day closing on Thursdays.
Ducks and rabbits roam around the campsite; the ducks will turn any water container into a makeshift pond and provide free entertainment for the kids.

We have camped on this site four times now and we love it! Its a beautiful place and is only a minutes drive or ten minutes walk into Wooler with its shops and pubs.

At £18 a night for two adults and children of 6 and 3 you can't go wrong. If you have kids they will love the ducks that come right up to your tent to be fed and often there are ducklings also.

Theres a play park which the kids love and lots of places to walk. Facilities are very good with clean toilets and hot showers. We will be back here time and again!

Great site. Very friendly welcome, show to a choice of pitches, short walk into Wooler. Lovely location with outstanding views. Plenty of choice for eating out locally. Great play areas and lovely clean facilities.

Plenty of level space for camping. Good shower but get their early. Ideal for exploring Northumberland walks or taking part in Wooler Wheel. Milano Restaurant nearby for fuelling up with pasta. Or Co-op if you are cooking in.

Firstly I need to say that I didn't actually get the chance to visit this site however after speaking to the owners on the telephone I wouldn't want to give them my business!! Absolutely disgusting attitude from him and her, mostly him. I was told earlier that day there was space on the site for myself, my kids and parents in their tents but when my parents rang to confirm they were told they were fully booked. When I then rang to say I'd already spoken to his wife and was told it would be fine he was awful to me. He was laughing at me when I said I have two kids who are very disappointed and his response was well we're fully booked anyway and hung up on me. DO NOT even bother giving these people your money as they are disgusting, rude, ignorant people!

Lovely location. We stayed in our caravan the first week of the summer holidays with our two children. The site was quite crowded and we were jammed between tents and caravans. The owner didn't seem very friendly and just left us to it once we had paid. Fine by us, but I dont know what he would have been like if we had had a problem. The toilet and shower block didn't seem to be cleaned at all in the 4 days we were there. A real shame as this is a lovely area with a short walk to town. Can highly recommend the Indian Restaurant in Wooler. Very friendly and lovely food.
