THE WORST PEOPLE.

The letter below explains it all... They didn't fix my bike properly in the end either. Jerks.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for repairing my bike, I appreciate your taking the time to fix it. I will pay delivery costs, as I don't seem to have a choice, but I'm disappointed with and saddened at your attempt to place blame with me for all of the issues with the bike.

I began to experience issues after only a month when I had to change the brake pads. The man in the shop told me, you get what you pay for. I was offended by this hipster bike snob and wanted to defend my lovely Vanessa (that's what I called my bike) but oh how prophetic his words turned out to be! Within three months there were so many problems that my local bike shop quoted me a price for repairs that exceeded how much the bike had cost in the first place.

You stated that I must be cycling off-road, which is simply untrue. I used the bike on London roads to commute to work.

You also stated that I probably wasn't storing Vanessa properly, which again, is untrue. I'm lucky enough to have a dedicated bike store in an underground car park behind my house where I lock my bike up every day. I also have an underground bike store in work. I can send pictures if you would like visuals. So you'll surely understand why I'm reluctant to accept blame for the rust.

Regarding the rear carrier missing bolt, it was certainly attached when I got the bike, and snapped off somewhere along my commute to work one morning. Any insinuation that it wasn't there when the bike first arrived is simply reaching on your part, but hey ho, you're doing such a great job reasoning away all manufacturer responsibility for faults with the bike, why stop now!

As a generally nice, honest, hard-working Irish girl in London, I find it really annoying that I'm being shafted by you to pay transport costs but I'm just not sure what else I can do or say to defend my treatment of Vanessa during our time together! Anyway, I'll leave it there. I suppose it's my word against yours and I don't have a leg to stand on or indeed a good bike to sit on, as the case may be.

Kind regards,

Anne-Marie

Bought a bike from here for my girlfriend. Bike started falling apart straightaway and after 3 months had a plethora of issues. One day the handlebar fell down (not associated with assembly) while she was cycling which is very dangerous. Sent the bike back to Bikes2U who said it was her fault for cycling it too much. Wouldnt give a refund but agreed to fix the issues adn incredibly made us pay for postage. Had already purchased a new bike so just chucked the death trap in the garage. Complete waste of money and the customer service and bike technicians were rude, argumentative and patronising. Please dont buy from this supplier and just pay the extra to buy from a reputable shop.
