Highfield Hotel & Restaurant

Lovely hotel, great breakfast! Beautiful surroundings.

I have stayed at the Highfield once before two years ago so it was the obvious choice when looking for somewhere to stay in Keswick. It really is a beautiful hotel, the staff very helpful and professional, food great and the breakfast all you can eat.

Great location overlooking Hope Park with a private car park and only a few minutes walk from the town centre. The views from the hotel are stunning. A great place to stay in every way. Really good value for money. I would highly highly recommend the Highfield to anyone looking for stay in Keswick.

Excellent service with wonderful food.

This is a great place. Its biggest selling point is its really excellent restaurant, which not only has a really nice menu but also, on request, will serve earlier for those visiting the nearby Theatre by the Lake. Good choice of wines and excellent customer service from the staff at all times of day.

Easy walking distance to the centre of Keswick.

We had one of the attic rooms which was very cozy/comfortable. Couple of small issues with a shower temperature control and a rather weak flush on the loo. Geussing the water is pumped up to that level.

The Lounge is lovely and the views of Derwentwater are amazing. The food easily beat everything else available in the vicinity.

Went here for dinner. Really good food. Service was friendly and welcoming, but more cafe like than restaurant. Difficult to find entrance in dark!

Dinner menu boring and food clumsily cooked. Breakfast good.

Stayed here four times now and enjoyed it every time. Last night we got a very nice room upgrade with balcony overlooking looking the fells, although on a warmer night this would've been a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine whilst taking in the fantastic views

First, the car park is very convenient, as the hotel is in the middle of Keswick and there are cars everywhere on a busy day. The beds were OK, not the comfiest. The breakfast is hearty and overall a conveniently placed hotel with lots of good pubs and restaurants nearby with lots of great walks to explore.
