Our Year 4 girls are lucky enough to be at the Bayer Lab today in Reading with the fantastic STEM Ambassador and Bayer Lab Manager - Emma Schierbaum using the state of the art schools' lab!
The girls are spending the day undertaking a number of practical investigations into dyes and pigments. They are developing a deeper understanding of what colours really are, investigating white light and considering how our eyes work in order to see colour; in addition, how chemists use dyes and pigments in industry

Such a fantastic school. Our daughter wholeheartedly loves Highfield. It's a genuine hidden secret with wonderful care provided by all the staff, along with an enriching education and a first class ethos of what makes and helps young girls achieve absolutely anything they want.

Our daughter attended Highfield for her entire primary school education and we have only positive things to say about the school. Highfield gave her an excellent academic foundation as well as a lot of high quality exposure to sport, music and drama. The culture of the school is quite special - it is a happy, caring, nurturing environment that supports every child and encourages them to be confident and supportive of others. My daughters adore Highfield - it is a small nurturing school where the excellent Head and Staff encourage the girls to reach their full potential on every front - academics, sport, music and drama. Girls leave the school happy, well-rounded, confident and well equipped for the challenges of secondary school.

My daughter, now in year 8, joined Highfield in year 1 and she never looked back. She has made friends for life. The nurturing and unrelenting dedication of the teachers make Highfield a truly special school. There was all round engagement with each girls’ needs and talents creating and allowing individual personalities to blossom. Highfield undoubtedly gave her the important stepping stones to go onto secondary school where she is thriving. I often heard people say positive things and a quote from a local secondary school Headteacher sums it up “l love Highfield girls, you always know a Highfield girl”.

I have 2 daughters at Highfield who love their school. A really happy environment where all the staff really care and want the best for your children. Highly recommend!

Highfield is a small and friendly girls school in Maidenhead. It helps all its girls grow in confidence, resilience and develop their skills whether it be in the classroom, music and drama activities or playing sports. Highfield leavers are well adjusted, young girls who have seized the opportunity to develop themselves and try their best to be their best. As a small school it has a great sense of community with older girls helping younger girls.

Both our daughters love Highfield. It's a friendly, busy and stimulating school with happy, engaged teaching staff who know and understand their pupils and target their learning appropriately. Highfield girls leave year 6 well prepared for secondary school; well rounded, buzzing with life and up for any challenge.

A wonderful warm and friendly school that gets it just right. From nursery to year 6 they get the best out of the girls.

Despite the lack of sport facilities, the School excels in teaching netball, hockey, gymnastics, Athletics and swimming, as they use all the local club facilities in Maidenhead and surrounding areas. They also encourage the girls to join local sports clubs to further improve their fitness and skills.

Although a small school, the music at Highfield is exceptional, with many girls learning brass, string and wind instruments as well as piano. They also have an orchestra and very good chamber choir.

Both of my daughters left Highfield as confident, well educated girls, ready for the challenges of senior school.
