More from our marvellous musicians!
We had many pianists performing a wide variety of music. Here is a little medley for you to enjoy.
Welcome to the Musical Assembly for the Summer Term, 2019! A first for some but also, sadly, a last for our Year 6 pupils. Starting off with the Brass section -
Highfield's first mixed Kwik Cricket match! A large group of Year 5 and 6 children were involved in the match. Adam, Abdullah and Omar led the team with some excellent fielding and bowling. Natasha, Saimah, Aamina and Aishah were smashing at batting. The teamwork was amazing with some excellent coaching from the Year 6 boys. Well done everyone!
"The birds of prey display was my favourite part of the day so I would like to thank Lindsay for her excellence performance and for being brave enough to handle the birds. My favourite bird was Eco the barn owl as she was the calmest. I also enjoyed seeing Rocket Ronny zoom and Maverick soar! Thank you for showing us these birds." An extract from Hannah's thank you letter to Leighton Hall.
Year 6 had a very enjoyable trip to Leighton Hall, this week, to support their work on Crime and Punishment in the Victorian era.
The winning House and House Captain. Well done, Fylde! A huge thank you to Mrs Parsons and Mrs Botton for organising this exciting Junior School event.

May 21st is the World Day for Cultural Diversity. This day serves to deepen our understanding of the value of cultural diversity and helps us learn how to “live together” better. In their Assembly, 3M taught us all about this special day which was the inspiration for their Assembly. They looked at many different cultures, including the cultural diversity within our Highfield community. It was an interesting, informative and thoroughly heart-warming Assembly. Thank you 3M!
