Happy New Year to one and all. Spent a couple of hours on my plot today. Weather was too good to miss. New strawberry plants coming on, potatoes set out for chitting and some perennials growing on

A fairly quiet week so far, not much rain and not much sun. I think most of us are fed up with watering our plots and I, for one, have decided to water only the plants that are important to me at the moment. The potatoes, beans and brassicas can look after themselves for a while. As I write this I see that rain is forecast for Thursday...don't hold your breath! The tomatoes and cucumbers in my greenhouse have passed their best now so they will soon be consigned to the compost bin. Any ideas as to what I can grow in the greenhouse for the next couple of months? I have been pleasantly surprised by the 3 tomato plants I popped into the ground a few months ago. They are producing a decent crop and are making a good 'follow on' to the greenhouse toms. Well thats it for now.
Hope some of you will write a post on our Facebook page.
