Great to have NCS and RSPB down Hengistbury Head for a beach clean this week. Keep up the great work 👍🏻 It is so important we keep our coast clean and free from rubbish. Please use the bins provided or take your rubbish home ♻️

What's not to love? Parked at the top (Hengistbury Head) walked right to the very end of the spit and back. I had a panini with fries, my friend had bacon, egg and chips, we both had a drink, ate outside in the sunshine and all for less than £20. #livehikercafe

Varied menu, friendly staff. Good place to start or end a walk.

User

The food is very good staff are good

It's clean and friendly

It's a nice place to walk to from Bournemouth, Christchurch

Or just to drive there for a cuppa

User

Popped into The Hiker yesterday for a bite to eat about 1.30pm . Despite it being quite busy our order was processed and delivered to or table in a very short time. Delicious pannini and sandwiches...

Hikers cafe is an absolute must if your in the area. The food is excellent, the staff are young , keen and friendly. It's a place we always go back to when down at one of our favourite parts of the country.

User

Has been a favourite of ours for a very long time, especially when we want to treat ourselves to a cooked breakfast. Great location, and a special mention must go to the young staff, who are always so friendly and efficient.

User

Had tasty snack and drinks after a long walk there and back from mudeford

User

Great food and lovely place and very quick service, definitely would recommend

User

Excellent Dorset apple cake and coffee prior to a walk round Hengistbury Head.... Which builds the appetite for a jacket potato on our return. Love the date oaty too. 2nd of January was packed because of the sunny Bank holiday.

User

Delicious food! One of the best Jacket Potatoes I have sampled in a long time! Hot, tasty, well filled and value for money! Great walks for dog owners and the beach on the doorstep! Breathtaking views! The only negative is not allowing dogs in any part of the cafe!

User

Amazing food and staff, fair prices for where they are. Must visit. My Birthday treat from my dad a good walk one of the best birthday meals I ever had x

User

Very easy going place to visit. Very crowded, long queue for ice cream. Very good place for rest and cup of tea. Home made cakes delicious.

User

Lovely cafe & food, come down to the Head a lot...........you would get 5* if the young staff could just organise themselves better & not take so long to serve; it's not even busy season yet!! Also really wish you'd allow a few dog friendly tables inside the cafe in the Winter months please, sure you'd get more trade because of it! We go to the Lepe Beach cafe down on Southampton water & they are doing that now for dog owners; it's brilliant!

User

Love the Hungry Hiker, the food, atmosphere and the girls always work very quickly, bless them. Love going there. Prices are very reasonable too.

User

Just had lunch after our walk, our latte's were amazing, very smooth and silky, we had a paninni with goats cheese, pepper and pesto and bacon and brie baguette which was good, came out pretty hot too which was nice as we sat outside with the dog.

The rocky roads are huge and look amazing but didn't get one

User

I have visited quite a few times. Always good food at very reasonable prices at the cafe and a great walk round the head. The ferry to Mudeford is fun and dog friendly too. All in all a great place for a day out.

User

Great food. Fast service. Yummy milkshake. Shame about the plastic straws still in use. Hopefully they’ll switch to paper ones soon. #nosingleuseplastic

User

A wellcome stop for a hot drink and a peace

Of cake or maybe something hot The day I went it was bitting cold and sunny just perfect . Then over to see the waves crashing on the pebbles .

User

A great stopping place after a walk over the head. Staff were very friendly, cafe very clean and the food is excellent. We sat outside where there is plenty of seating and tables. Would recommend to anyone.
