The theme for December's #GreaterHeritage is #Celebrations Here we have a picture of Coronation day celebrations in #Ruislip! Each guest is sporting a rather lovely crown!

St. Margaret's Church was built and in use by 1245 and stands in Windsor street just off the High Street. The oldest portion of the existing building is part of the north tower, which was built in the late 14th century.
The tiles that were used in the chapel were created by Minton Hollis & co. in the 1840s. They were designed by Gothic architect Augustus Pugin, who designed the interior of the Houses of Parliament, and it’s clock tower known more commonly as Big Ben.

Today we have some subterranean #architecture 🏙 for #GreaterHeritage! This is the extension of the #Piccadilly Line to Heathrow before any track was even laid! 🚄

Haydon Hall in #Eastcote was built in 1630 at the request of Dowager Countess Lady Alice of Harefield Place as a way of protecting her finances from a detestable son-in-law!
Haydon Hall had various owners over 380 years when it was finally owned by the Ruislip-Northwood Urban District Council by the time of the Second World War.

The hmv building in #Hayes is a very recognisable landmark for many!
It was built in 1928 and designed by famous #architect firm Wallis, Gilbert & Partners who also worked on the Hoover Building in Perivale and the Victoria Coach Station!

Starting off we have the Great Barn at Manor Farm, Ruislip which is over 700 years old and one of the oldest barns of it's kind in the country!

Monday 21st we have a Peter Pan themed storytelling (Ages 3-7) from 11am-12pm
And Tuesday 22nd and Thursday 24th we have a drop in Fossil Finding Session from 11am-3pm (Ages 5-10+)

The doors are open for Open House at Manor Farm in Ruislip. This weekend only you can visit the upstairs of Manor Farm House (1510), see the full interior of the Great Barn (c. 1300) plus Pram Shed and local shops exhibitions.
