We stayed at the Hilton Ageas Bowl on a pre cruise stay including parking.
The room was huge as was the bed and we had a magnificent view over the golf course and the countryside beyond.
The only slight problem was that, unknown to us, there was a cricket match on that evening which meant the car park was pretty full, although fortunately for us someone left as we were going about looking for a space so it all ended well.
Breakfast was the usual buffet and was adequate for what we wanted.
Staff were efficient and we would certainly recommend this hotel.
Such a fabulous place ... the view was amazing ... lovely clean bright rooms ... breakfast fabulous... will definitely be going back , chose the most hot wkend so far ... perfect
Stayed at this hotel at the weekend the large king room was amazing! All staff couldn't be any more helpful and friendly,
The breakfast service was spot on even the manager had time to say good morning and gave us fresh coffee! Nothing was to much trouble for anyone will definitely be back!!
Only point I could be critical on was no fridge in room. Apart from that was good .
Just had an overnight stay. Everything about it was great. Nice friendly welcome from the reception staff, room with a fantastic view, really good food and excellent service from the room service menu.
We will definitely be going back
Great service as always - reception staff welcoming and helpful, rooms extremely comfortable. Great view of the T20 cricket from the room balcony - with the option to dip back into the air conditioning on a very hot summer's evening. Room service prompt and as ordered.
Friendly relaxed staff lovely would recommend to family and friends. I had treatments and the staff were lovely and very attentive to your needs.
Well deserved 5 stars
Brilliant hotel, with Brilliant facilities. Staff excellent very helpful and friendly. Clean Smart and wonderful views all round. Food couldnt be faulted , plenty of choice and well presented and very tasty. Rooms clean, smart and roomy. Thank you for a lovely stay
Absolutely a stunning Hotel, staff and food were out of this world. We were lucky to have room 252 which was looking over the actual cricket pitch.
We ate in Beefys on two occasion and the steak and lamb shank were fantastic.
Will not be our last visit.
Thank you Hilton.

Visited yesterday for a spa day which was great. I had the back, neck and shoulder massage followed by a facial. It took the whole hour and didn’t feel rushed at all. Nona was a fantastic masseuse and worked out all my knots. The spa itself was lovely. Wasn’t too busy and I got to enjoy all of it whilst I was waiting for my treatments and after. Within my booking I also had afternoon tea. It was pleasant and plenty for the 2 of us. I would have preferred more savoury options than sweet as there were a lot of rich cakes but that’s just my own preference.
All in all a great experience and will definitely look at going back for more spa days!
The room was a ‘King Room’ and I have to say superb. Could barely fault it at all. Service at reception and at breakfast was also brilliant and the breakfast itself was really nice. I love it when you can have kippers or haddock for breakfast
Good four star hotel our room was clean and functional, executive lounge well stocked though not quite what we were expecting 'comfort' wise. (Think it is decorated in a way so you will not want to stay long! - good business move ) Reception staff especially helpful and the wine, card and balloons that were put in our room plus the late check out they arranged was appreciated. Would definately stay again.
Visited here last week with my company for a conference! The room was lovely adequate for our needs the bed the most comfy I've slept in in a hotel. The food on the other hand was appalling!! The company I was with had arranged lunch & diner on the first day our lunch consisted of egg sandwiches !! Egg in every shape and form of bread !! White , brown , wraps , Italian .. all with egg !! I actually asked a young gentlemen who was serving what was in the wraps his reply ( I only serve the food I don't make it ). Shocked and speechless by his response . Definitely not what I'd expect at such a high Calibre hotel !
The evening food didn't get much better we had to wait over half an hour past our sit down time for dinner to be served with a plate of cheese & meat that had sat there that long it was curling at the sides . Then we had what was meant to be a roast dinner . Bearing in mind there was almost 300 guests there we were given the smallest serving dishes with chicken beef & veg in . We had to constantly ask for more . Best bit was when we asked for gravy it arrived in the smallest jug ever one person serving ! So the first day of food was a total write of . Not what I'd expect from this hotel . The second day improved immensely we had a lovely breakfast and an even better home cooked hearty lunch of Sheppards pie & veg and macaroni cheese . Whether it was because we where a large large party or a small family group the service should always. E the same . On the whole though not to bad a stay . But staff need be a little more people friendly
Service and quality of rooms below other Hilton brands even the cheaper ones like Hampton by Hilton. Seems more focused for cricket guests at the Ageas Bowl than usual hotel guests. So overall no good value for money. If you are used to a certain Hilton treatment, then this will definitely be a tad disappointing.
I was here last weekend with friends, hotel is lovely as is the spa but dinner service was poor and your afternoon tea was the strangest afternoon tea we’ve ever had?! An abundance of Humus sandwiches!? Actually maybe not an abundance as we have to ask for more....? Cue more humus! Scones and cakes were nothing special, cold tea too . A shame as after a long morning in the spa a good afternoon was well needed and it would have topped off our weekend. What a shame....!
Attended a fight night. Complimentary drink at beginning of evening, but then no bar open, so we ended up having our meal with no drink! Food tasty, but real trouble getting a drink, even travelling upstairs to a quieter bar! No water on the table, and had to ask for some at the bar and no coffee at the end of the meal so a bit strange!!! If you host a big event with lots of people you need to provide the correct facilities to go with it. A great evening spoilt by having to queue for ages for drinks and meal lacking any extras!!!
Totally let down by the food. Looked at bar menu but thought I'll have something more fancy so went to Beefy's.
Big mistake least choice than bar menu, no seasoning and no offer of veg. The steak was tasteless, looked little it had been washed under tap. Pepper sauce is what I ask for no idea what I got.
I short sack chef and or eat elsewhere.
We chose this venue for the staff Christmas party and it was absolute disaster there is no doubting that the venue itself looks great but the service was absolutely appalling staff did not know what they were doing food was appalling and nobody seem to care about the problems being brought to their attention
I would certainly not recommend anybody to this hotel until they find a way to raise their standards of customer service and customer care
The food was horrible tasteless plain no flavour at all , you need to suck the chef or he needs to go for more training from starter to main meal and the pudding, no salt and pepper Hotel is beautiful though.
