Went tonight with our friends it was lovely service food was very nice normally go to flowerpot on Tuesday for a curry but kitchen was closed so we thought we would try it for a change xx

We booked short notice and managed to get a table for 2. Due to food allergies, I am restricted on certain ingredients! The staff here were extremely helpful in helping to decide what I can eat, double checking with the chef whenever unsure.

The food was fantastic too.

We will definitely be booking again in the future. ÔøΩ

Visited for maybe the third time and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Great staff, nice atmosphere and cracking food. Well worth a visit.

This restaurant is an absolute gem in my opinion. I cannot find any fault with the food, customer service or the prices. What else can I say - if you haven't been you need to try it and you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be visiting again, sooner, rather than later...

Superb food, superb service, I will visit again when I'm next in Derby. Don't be put off by the area of the city. You can get a taxi. You will not be disapointed. On my visit 36 diners on a Monday. Says it all I think.

Lovely little hidden gem in Derby! Great food and service. Really looked after us. Even tried to get us taxis with the awful snow, and let us wait past closing until we could all get lifts home as we were stranded. You need to try this place, they go above and beyond for their customers and food was delicious.

I came accross this restaurant quite by accident resulting from an Internet search and I'm very happy to have done so. I'm not local to this area but one of my sons currently lives in the Derby area and I was looking for somewhere to take him. In the end, a group of five from my close family dined there and we all thourougly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant has relaxed informal feel and the staff are attentive. We picked from all areas of the menu but personally I chose Himalayan dishes. I guess, in addition to what I've said already, the best that I can say is that I've eaten at many Asian restaurants in my time including traditional restaurants in Bradford and on the curry mile in Manchester, the Himalayan Gurkha is right up there with the very best of them and everyone in my family group would happily travel to eat there again.

Hidden away and really rather excellent. Fantastic food and service at an affordable but no means cheap price.

Great food, really enjoyed the paneer karahi and pilau rice. Chicken spinach dish also very tasty. Generous portions, meal lovely and hot, plates warmed, reasonable prices and good service. Will be going again.

For years I’ve walked past this place and never ventured in until tonight!what a lovely restaurant, the food was top notch and Gurkha beer went down a treat! It was busy on a Monday night!Service was brilliant and will be back very soon!well worth a visit !!

Fantastic food and service. Couldn't easily have been put of this gem of a place by the area it's in but once inside everything was spot on . Will defiantly eat here again

We had been told about the restaurant by some friends who had recently visited Derby, out of curiosity we drove from Scotland down to this restaurant just to try it out, they were very busy but they took their time to accommodate us with a table, I have to say it was worth the trip down, staff are excellent and the quality of food is 5* all day long.



Well worth a visit if you're in the area, go on give it a try, trust me you won't be disappointed ÔøΩÔøΩ
