What makes Hippo a lovely place to eat is the waiting staff. They are always friendly and welcoming even when it gets extremely busy.

What great service, we used hippos for my husbands 40th party. James was extremely helpful and delivered great food to our door. We had lots of compliments on the food and we've recommend you to a lot of friends. Thank you so much. Top food from a top company. Michelle x

Visited for the first time on Saturday, though my sister is always in here with her grandkids, they love the place! I can see why - lovely staff, and although it was busy we didn't have to wait long. I had the veggie breakfast - was the best I've ever eaten, would love to know what brand the veggie sausages were. Will definitely be back!

The only place in Leigh that I would even think about going for lunch, the milkshakes are amazing and the food is never a disappointment!

Nice food, friendly staff and a vast menu which also happens to be good value. Nice to be able to sit outside on sunny days and watch the Leigh massif going about their day.

My daughter's favourite brunch place ! Lovely sausage sarnies and smoothies. She would go there every day! Lovely friendly staff who are happy to serve the food how you would like it x

Love Hippos I live in Leigh an eat there with my daughter an friends on a regular basis, what ever we have to eat is great an the service is great to friendly staff

I pressed the button and posted my review before i had finished it but what i would just like to add is that the Staff were very attentive, polite and efficient. We are definitely coming back and will probably be sooner than you think! Keep doing what you're doing because it was spot on! Thank you

I absolutely love Hippos on so many levels. Firstly the staff are fantastic really helpful and friendly. Secondly, Great food at a good price.i will go back time and time again. All the other cafes in Leigh will have to up their game to be in competition with this watering hole.

Hippos did the catering for my mum's 70th birthday - it was lovely - all freshly made - they made the night extra special - would highly recommend them

Had such a lovely breakfast yesterday morning and the sausages were amazing! Staff were friendly and attentive will definitely be coming soon xxx

Absolutely loved it! Came to Leigh yesterday with the intention of going to Creme for lunch but it was totally packed so we found this little place! Best panini I've had, and amazing service, will definitely be coming back next time we're in Leigh.

Would give no stars if it was possible for my visit today. Was firstly greeted by a very rude customer who did not want to move her chair so my Mum & myself could get the buggy through the door! A waitress was with this customer at the time & offered no help & then proceeded to laugh with the customer whilst they bad mouthed us as we was walking in to the cafe!

Once finally inside the cafe we was ignored by the staff & decided we obviously wasn't welcome there & left. Would not recommend this place at all based on today's experience & definitely not if you are looking for somewhere to eat with a baby!
