Don’t come to this garage unless you want to repair your car after utter joke hi q you need to sort this garage out ASAP lack of respect to cars

Phoned earlier in the day to check they had my tyre in and what time they finished. Was told 5.15. Got there at 4.50 to find them locking up and refusing to change my tyre. Website says they close at 5.30. Wish I could knock off 40 minutes early every day.

If you have a nice car don't take it here. I took mine and within the first two minutes knew the guy didn't know what he was doing.. you got a car under 5k this is your place.

Absolute disgrace I have been using this garage for years They should all be ashamed . Charged £245 for a service and mot After getting my car back I checked and realised the fuel filter hadn't been touched ???? I went straight back to the garage and the person I take was in charge (Dean) after having a look agreed that the filter hadn't been changed I was told if i brought the car back they would put a new fuel filter on the car I said I would change it myself he said they would have to order a fuel filter. Why ? if that had not been replaced on my car they must of had one there, nope never had one.(obviously never planned to put one on ) I then asked for my bill from the work they completed on the Saturday mot and service the receipt said £225 I paid £245 cash when I said this 4 times nothing was said just gave me £20 cash (dodgy) Then once I got home I inspected the car again and found the oil filter had not been changed and oil spilt on the top of the engine. Going back to the garage the next morning once again explaining that the oil filter had not been touched or should I say the case holding the oil filter hadn't been touched After about 5 mins of Dean saying it had been replaced I said it must of been replaced by magic as the case/ cap or what ever you want to call it holding the filter in hadn't been removed . Dean also said they don't replace a cabin filter on a service but I had already checked with a different hi q garage. So if you have had a full service you will need to go back and get your cabin filter changed that's the filter that filters the air into the car that is part of the service. He (Dean)then turned around and said they would do a completely new service for free amazing the car had only done 10-15 miles since the last one. So later that day 12ish I brought the car back to the garage and video recorded the car while they did the service . the oil coming out of the car was jet black considering it had only been done 15miles ago maximum from when they serviced it The oil filter was completley black they aslo replaced fuel filter and cabin filter and then the oil. So to top it off for the £200 service they had changed an air filter and poured some oil on top of the engine to make it look like an half wit had changed the oil. I have complained to hi q head office also contacted trading standards and was thinking of ringing the police as this was a blatant theft Not a mistake thiefs robbing working people. I have serviced my own vehicles cars vans bikes for the last 20 plus years And working in the maintenance department of a global medical company for years And having my qualifications in mechanical engineering. Feel absolutely gutted that a local garage is ripping people off

Bought two tyres via Asda website and they fitted them in a few days. Pleasant buying experience.

Within 100 yards of leaving HiQ after having a replacement tyre fitted to our car, we had ESP, traction control, service and handbrake error warning lights appear, and the auto handbrake disengage stopped working. We drove straight back and after a good ten minutes of arguing were told that it 'must be a coincidence' and that there was no possible chance it could be due to anything they had done. Of course this was total rubbish and we knew it, but as this guy obviously thought I was totally stupid, I took the car straight to the local dealer, who within 5 minutes told us that the wrong size tyre had been fitted. We phoned up HiQ and the guy I'd been arguing with previously tried to argue again that it wasn't his fault and he'd put on the tyre we asked for..."a 215/60 r17"...well guess what? That's not what's on there! So we drove back again to HiQ, and low and behold the guy we'd been talking to had gone home, knowing we were on our way. Massively unprofessional and extremely poor customer service, not to mention a safety issue. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff who had been left to deal with us were very helpful & apologetic (despite it not being their fault) and they replaced the incorrect tyre instantly.
[UPDATE] - Following a complaint, HiQ's regional franchise manager has been very quick in dealing with the situation to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future.
