This weeks offering is a little TIG welding. The component is an inner shelf of a revolutionary patented commercial grill which we have been working on for the last 3 years. Current output is about 15 units a month exported throughout the world. This should double over the next year. We are also working on a domestic version to be launched at this years Countryfile live show,Blenheim Palace 3-6 August. So if you 5k spare feel free to place pre-orders!! This weeks offering is high speed machining of PE500 Polythene. The component is the base of a Marina Pedestal to supply water and power to your super yacht wherever it may be in the world! Our client has been in the business 25 years and exports from the U.K. to every corner of the planet. We have only been there supplier for two years but the business is growing rapidly.

From January 2017 we shall be updating our Facebook page on a regular basis with manufacturing processes, manufacturing news and comment and maybe even a little comedy! We shall also be using "Facebook live" and taking requests. Hopefully these updates will give you a further understanding of what we do at Hitec and ideally emphasise how truly excellent manufacturing is within the U.K. Manufacturing may no longer be what it was in terms of GDP but we are still the very bes...t in the world, regardless of what the media will tell you.
Below is a taster of what's to come. The component is an Electrical Filter case manufactured for a company in the North of England and has been a client of Hitec for the last 11 years. The material is 1.5mm aluminium, plastic coated for protection during assembly. This process is performed on a 9 axis CNC press brake with 4 tool set ups. We currently manufacture anywhere between 3000 and 7000 per month dependant on client demand and deliver twice a month.
