Yesterday afternoon, Hive Coffee Company had a little trip down to the Monkton Leek, Vegetable & Floral Society's 155th Annual Show. We came away with some absolutely amazing produce, which has taken so much time and effort to grow. Went yesterday for lunch and was so impressed. We had the tandoori chicken flatbread, which was absolutely delicious. What a hidden gem!

Just seen the Indian street food night, I hope you’ll do more of those as they sound great - now I’ve discovered you.

We are regulars at Hive ever since last September food is awesome coffee is delicious lovely place to go especially in the sunshine :) our favourites are Oat milk flat whites and avocado on toast with a poached egg on top and not to forget cake! My current favourite is the vegan chocolate cake �����

Visited today with friends & will definitely be back! Had a lovely & very tasty deli salad bowl full of yummy ingredients! Washed down with a good Americano! Bought some vegan cake to take home (no other local coffee shop I know does vegan cake so didn't want to miss out!) but it didn't actually leave the premises as I ate it with my coffee! Delicious �

The weather was good enough to sit outside in really pretty surroundings & meant the younger ones in the party could play while the adults chatted!

There is always something yummy and gluten and lactose free for me to eat, and usually there's a choice of yummy things. I'm a big fan of the delicious salads and the cake. Definitely the cake! I highly recommend the vegan and gf apple mini loaf.

My wife and I popped in yesterday lunchtime to try the pulled beef, horseradish and roast veg flatbreads, and thoroughly enjoyed them. Pleasant, friendly and efficient service, and in lovely surroundings. I can recommend the flatbreads and the cheese scones! We will be back soon. :)

Meet there with different friends regularly. Great food, cakes etc, nice friendly atmosphere + on our doorstep. Good to give our custom to a local enterprise, not to one of the big chains.

I think this place will easily become a firm favourite with us. Delicious food with a fantastic varied menu, not only caters for all diets but has plenty of options too. The cake was raspberry & rose and so so delicious (and bonus it was vegan).

Everything is fresh & tasty. My husband ordered the wrong thing for my daughter and they happily changed it even though it wasn't their fault.

Best oat milk latte I've ever had!

The kids menu is fantastic. Nice healthy choices that kids will actually eat. Even some vegan options for kids (which you never see).

This is great food, catering for absolutely everyone!

I love coming here! Been a few times and there's always something different to try. Yesterday I had a sausage sandwich (the bread was AMAZING), a scone (wow) and some chocolate cake, which is always glorious. I am a bit of a fussy eater, so while my friends have the amazing-looking bright salads and soups and flatbreads, I have never struggled to find something equally as amazing that I like - it's great! Caters for vegans/veggies, gluten-free, nut-free, fussies like me, everyone! And there's always dogs, which helps!!!

I know I am family but if you ever want waited on with a smile in a beautiful setting and experience delicious food, this is the place to go. I am still trying to work through the menu,haha, Breakfasts are amazing,flatbreads delicious and scones and cakes to die for,,,,well done girls keep it up.... your favourite taster,mmmm

Hugely underrated! Beautiful decor, relaxing atmosphere, but at the same time somewhere to come and talk to friends or bring your laptop and get some work done. Not to mention the amazing array of fresh, super healthy food especially the gluten free carrot cake ��

Had a lovely Sunday brunch. It is a lovely setting and the food is of a very high standard. Service is spot on. Perfect to take the kids ds and let them run around in the park after. Also a lovely tranquil spot to escape to during the week.

Great selection of gluten free, low fat light lunch options. Tasty coffee and friendly knowledgable staff. A real refreshing change for Jarrow :)

A hidden gem. Beautiful building with a lovely atmosphere. We had coffee which was great and the dishes the guys were serving for brunch looked wonderful. Definitely going back to eat. The car park was a little snug but I believe there is a larger public carpark over the road. All in all a lovely venue.
