We took our young sons, oldest 3 1/2 years old, he loved it, very friendly staff, place to put buggy and explore on foot the ship.

User

We missed this one last year so, as our tickets are still valid, we needed to visit. Fantastic that Sir John Smith was able to buy her for £1 so that she could be renovated and not scrapped. Even though the crew still had the same style of living quarters as the Victory, it had the feeling of being far more spacious. The twin-cylinder coal-fired engine is enormous. The hull is clad with 4.5" thick iron and 18" of teak. It is built around an impenetrable (in its day) iron box. Warrior is the missing link between the wooden ships and the battleships of the first and second world wars. Very knowledgable, ex-navy tour guides. Well worth the visit.

We had such an amazing experience at HMS Warrior yesterday. Trevor took the time to speak to my daughters about the ship and the life of a sailor. This included trying the sailors hammock. My girls were hanging on his word and were able to recall all of the information that he shared. Thank you so very much we will be back soon

Diane. Will be recommending to all

User

We had our Wedding on the Warrior, and it was absolutely perfect! The team were amazing, very helpful and supportive. The attention to detail was impeccable! Thank you for helping to make our Wedding perfect!

User

My daughter had her wedding to Charlie Cole on HMS Warrior on August 22nd 2015. It was an amazing day enjoyed by every one we all wished we could do it all again. I can thoroughly recommend HMS Warrior for weddings

User

Lovely wedding venue organiser very good shame the reception staff couldn't be more sympathetic or even helpful trying to get an 82yr old and 88yr old down to the ship in the pouring rain perhaps a covered walkway could be provided in future luckily they let the bridal party drive down the jetty

User

Have had an annual pass for the dockyard for a few years and have loved visiting all the ships there with the family. Visited today just me and my daughter as for a school project she had to write about a Portsmouth ship and chose the Warrior. All the volunteers we spoke with were so helpful and spent so much time with us giving her loads of extra information for her project and she even got to have a go in a hammock. (Apparently even the grown ups could have had a go!). Fantastic weather certainly helped us get a lot of pictures too! Thanks to the volunteers we talk to today (sorry I didn't make a note of any names)

User

Had our wedding on here in September 2015, ceremony and dinner. This year we had a dinner party too, amazing place, always will be in our heart.

User

Had a great night at the Warriorfest 2018. Looking forward to next year.

User

Had Trafalgar Day dinner on the Warrior, it is a fantastic place for a function and the staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the hole evening was great

User

Forget all the other ships this is the one to visit.

We visited it years ago and it was good then but even better now that more has been added. The volunteers on board are both knowledgeable and friendly there was ongoing restoration work going on when we visited but it didn't detract from the overall experience.

User

Excellent visit as per usual. You can really see the Navy's direction towards the modern iron and steel ship era. Well worth the return visits 😊

User

Excellent piece of engineering ahead of its time sadly floating in a sewer

User

Brilliant ship to visit, full of history and well worth a visit. Super place for a Wedding!! We had a wonderful time on board when our son got married there last year.

User

Attended the mine warfare association 10th anniversary on board

Lovely dinner and great to catch up with old friends

User

Always a pleasure to visit this ship with such a great history. The kids enjoyed it as much as we did. They even got some lessons on why a gun is rifled and got to try a hammock for size. Great place to visit

User

Very interesting, but not much information around to tell you about what's on display, I believe they are in the midst of some restoration & there will be lighting & audio displays.

I would advise not to use the cafe, the staff in there don't seem to know what they're doing, after a long wait we ordered tea & flapjacks, it eventually came on a filthy plate, it was disgusting, we didn't complain at the time but I know we should have, looking round afterwards we noticed that there was nowhere in that kitchen to wash anything, not at all hygienic.

User

There was about to be a wedding aboard the Warrior so that added an extra fun dimension to our exploration of the ship. We've been to a formal dinner once before, so this visit was a reminder of that occasion. The Warrior is a great piece of history - and not so crowded to explore as her sister ship at Portsmouth!

User

Great example of 1st generation metal warships but definitely lacking in information and which way people should proceed around.
