About Hobsons Brewery

Purveyors of wholesome quaffable British beer, made with the best local ingredients the old fashioned way. But we're not a stickler for tradition, we're experimental, a bit quirky and spirited in the way we run our brewery. . .

Wonderful people, great beer and an excellent training centre.

We visited and toured the Brewery last night with our local landlord as part of the Temple Bar group from Ewyas Harold and would just like to say a big Thank you to Alex and Barry for the informative tour and very enjoyable evening they provided. The smooth dark Shropshire Stout proved to be my favourite drink which I had not tried before but will now know to look for. A night we all enjoyed so Thank you once more for looking after us all so well.

User

Town Crier real ale. Literally the best keg ale I've ever tried. Smooth and tasty!

User

Town Crier has to be one of the best beers ever sampled. Certainly among most refreshing. Glad I discovered it on trip to Severn Valley Railway. Just need to try track down some bottles back here in Scotland.

User

The attention to detail that they show to every aspect of their business is exceptional. After having the privilege of touring the brewery yesterday it shows why the Hobsons products are consistently brilliant. Thank you Reuben from all of us at The Horns for an excellent tour and no doubt Town Crier will remain our best selling ale!

User

Still my favourite brewery after 12 years of drinking ale all over Great Britain.

User

My wife Chris and I attended the "Stout and Stew" night on Thursday 15 March.

The evening kicked off with a couple of pints of excellent "Old Prickly" this was followed by a tour of the brewery which we found to be both interesting and informative.

Once back in the Tasting Room I sampled the dark, sweet "Shropshire Stout" with its hints of chocolate and liquorice.

An excellent bowl of good, quality, beef stew with carrots, stout and fresh herbs was served, this went down very well with the "chateau" la stout and mashed spuds....it went down that well that seconds were requested and duly served, the night was rounded off with chocolate and stout cake served with double cream ..... Delicious ... Stout cocktails were then served to those who had room ...

A well organised, most entertaining evening with good company, good grub and most of all .. excellent Hobsons Ale .........

User

My friends and I attended the brewery tour, it was an absolute joy and a bargain too.

My favorite beer explained to me, my favorite beer on tap and incredible food thrown in to.

Expertise and grace, just wonderful.

User

Love the beer. Used to drink in my local pub, but since moving abroad was unable to enjoy a good pint until today as I was in my local English shop and behold there was some on the shelf.. Stocked up now with some town crier and two gift boxes to give friends.

User

Love everything about this brewery. It's interaction with the community, fantastic foodie evenings and the beer isn't half bad either! 5 stars all the way. Anything else would be a tad churlish 😊

User
