What a lovely little stop for breakfast on our holiday travels! Clean, friendly staff lovely local produce and not bad value. Thanks!

User

The perfect stopping off point on our way to/from Cornwall. It’s as all service stations should be but most never live up to this! Great coffee, friendly staff and clean loos - with handcream - hurrah! Now, if you would just open a few outlets on the M4 that would be amazing........

User

Stopped here as it was he closest services when we needed the loo and will now make sure I stop here again. Amazing facilities, especially for breastfeeding mammas as there is a nursing chair in a clean private room. Facilities for heating baby food with use of their bowels, cups etc. Indoor play area for kiddies. Real thick cut bacon & perfect poached egg! Plenty of seating and very friendly polite staff. Also dog friendly. Couldn’t fault this lovely place. I would defiantly recommend.

User

If service stations disappoint then you must visit the Hog and Hedge the most dog friendly of cafes/restaurants. The food is not usual fare of chips and burgers but freshly prepared soups, chilli, Jacket spuds as well as casseroles including veggie ones!.

facilities are superb with a separate baby care area and a dog walking area. Plenty of sockets and USB point for the business traveller... Happy driving

User

Great place to stop off on a long journey! Had the Dartmoor breakfast which was reasonably priced but the portion of food was generous & well cooked! Had pot of tea for 3 of us & nicely surprised & how well brewed it was! Would definitely recommend for stopping off on a journey down to the south west!

Called in first thing in the morning and what a great place, kids were still in their PJ's and dressing gowns after traveling over night so the Mrs took them in the baby changing area to get dressed and she said it was fantastic, clean well laid out and plenty of room compared to the norm.

The staff were very friendly and genuinely enthusiastic about the place. The kids went into the place area and we settled down with some great coffee.

The food arrived and it was very nice, you can see it's not just thrown on cheap rubbish, it's tastey, well cooked, well presented and if people look at the board and think £8:00 is a bit much for a Breakfast remember you get what you pay for ! I was more than happy.

Over all this place is very well laid out and is doing everything right we will be back.

Thank you guys keep doing what you are doing you really do stand out head and shoulders above the ' Normal road side efforts '

User

Better than your big brand service station! Lovely food, super quick and friendly service, good facilities.

User

Best place to stop for tea and coffee on the way to the West Country, lovely friendly staff, clean and dog friendly (fresh water and dog treats by the entrance). Have stopped here serveral times now and will continue to do so.

User

Amazing place, good food and wonderfully accommodating for the vagaries of children’s food requests.

User

Amazing coffee. Always having a mokka. I travel to the westcountey fortnightly and each time I stop in for a mokka. I have gone through about 5-7 loyalty cards! Filling 6 gives you a free drink. Food is top notch too. Great produce, but they don't do fried which I think is a good idea! Jacket potatoes or sandwiches, made with love and the best produce.

Having space for little ones to play safely, draw and save the pictures till next time.

I'll see you again in a week

This is immediately next door to the Travelodge, and I had my breakfast here on the Tuesday and Wednesday morning I was staying there. It is a very spacious and clean cafe/restaurant, an ideal place if you're staying at the Travelodge and I can see that it would also be a great stop for people travelling up and down the nearby A30.

I ate and enjoyed the traditional breakfast on both mornings. It consisted of two eggs (which you can have either fried or poached), two rashers of bacon, two sausages, a large field mushroom, baked beans, tomato and a slice of toast. I had a pot of tea with this, so the whole thing came to £10, which is not too bad for roadside services.

There was a different member of staff on each morning I was there. On the Tuesday the gentleman behind the counter was ok, but I could sense him huffing under his breath when I politely asked him what the traditional breakfast consisted of as it just said "traditional breakfast" on the menu board without giving any more details. The gentleman there on the Wednesday morning I found very friendly and more approachable, and when I asked for no tomato he asked if I would like an extra item instead, which the staff member on the Tuesday hadn't offered me when I made the same request to him.

So in general a nice enough establishment. The only thing I would say is that it would perhaps be a good idea to provide a little more detail on the menu board than just "traditional breakfast". OK, most of us know that a breakfast is normally bacon, egg, sausage, etc, but it's not clear how many of each item you get or if any other items such as mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, black pudding, hash browns or toast are included or not.

User

Lovely service station, so pleased to find somewhere dog friendly. We sat outside, but could have eaten inside with our pooch.

Very tasty sandwiches and cuppa.

And water bowl and treats for the dog too! Definitely recommended.

User

Just what I needed after a four hour drive. I drive all over the country and it was a pleasure to sit and eat hear I will definitely be back next time I have a drop in that part of uk

User

An accidental find for someone who missed the Exeter services... got here at 12:30 and was disappointed that breakfast had stopped.. would have loved sausage and egg! The person next to us also wanted a breakfasty brunchy meal so maybe an idea to extend the time?? Great little space for the kids to play in!

User

came here during the week staff lovely food very nice but toilets not so much..so much grime around taps so dirty but past through at the weekend and couldn't fault it everything was so clean.

User

The coffee is lovely the staff however could do better! Try taking customers names with coffee orders..... just sat waiting for a decaf cappuccino and a regular when someone else has taken ours! Not much of an apology, felt it was almost our fault that they’d messed up!

User

The one pot food is lovely. I had chilli, was hot spicy. My dad had their vegetable lasagne which he said was lovely. On the way back home we had their bacon sandwiches which were lovely. Staff friendly and helpful.

User

Stopped to have something to eat after a long journey, found the staff rude, sarcastic and unwelcoming ! Needless to say we neither ate or drank there !

User

Over priced would do well to learn how to cook poached eggs surely there not meant to be like rubber I must also add that I like my bacon hot not freezing cold will drive straight on by next time complete waste of money
