Holiday Inn Gloucester - Cheltenham

Great customer services and location there were fireworks whilst we were there and you couldn't hear them in the room

Nice enough for a business stay (not sure I'd spend my own money here) ... good facilities and breakfast, good staff ... but most rooms rather small and getting a little worn.

Not a good hotel... restaurant needs improvement, for the price you are paying there should be something better!

Lovely hotel. Rooms very clean. Beds were comfortable. Food breakfast was plentiful. Had evening meal here and that was superb. Hotel swimming pool was very nice. Friendly staff. Excellent place to stay

A decent hotel with friendly staff. We had a family room that was supposed to sleep 5 but they had only set up enough for 4 of us. We had to make up an extra one on the floor using the cushions from the sofa but it wasn't a problem. The room was clean but a little tired. Plenty of toiletries & towels & lots of space. Breakfast was lovely but they ran out of things way before the end of time & didn't bother to replace them.

Hotels is lovely, the gym could do with updating. I like the pool however would do with being a bit more private.

Would not stay again, worst Holiday Inn ever. The bed was uncomfortable (super hard). The executive room upgrade did not match their description (it states a "unwind with complimentary magazines.... bathrobes.... mini bar ... stocked with chocolates...." " but in reality you get a single business magazine, one bath robe (for a room with 3 people booked), and one chocolate bar, a dairy milk, to share, left out in the sun. Sign says "if you don't think we're 10/10 tell us" so we told these things to front desk who just said they were sorry to hear it. Outside of the hotels control it was also noisy (room 53 is next to where people go outside to smoke), and it's just generally dated and run down throughout.

Our first visit was enjoyable... not so much this time.

I asked for a quiet room... they placed us beside a loud family with screaming children. The family was in there room before us.

Bathroom was dirty... dark hair on the floor... hard to miss... bath scum ring in the tub... due to the plugged drain... a quick shower had the tub filled past your ankles! The water eventually drained.

No fan in the bathroom... the steam revealed the dirty spotted mirror. Makes you wonder if they cleaned the counters or sink... or anything!

Towels were well worn with threads showing. Bed sheets were well worn and itchy. I did not sleep well and ended up using the top sheet to sleep on.

No TV hand control in the room... had to ask twice to receive one from the front desk.

Curtains hanging off the track, sticky desk.

No fridge or microwave.

Discarded room service trays left on the floor in the hallway with staff walking right by them.

For a Holiday Inn, the condition of this room was ridiculous. If I was the franchisor I would be doing an audit of this location immediately. Shameful. I WON'T BE BACK.

Executive room is the size of a shed. The staff as cold as ice especially the tall eastern lady who didn't even walk with me to show the room but hurried off on her own. Asked for another room and was offered a standard room which was terribly tiny. Don't stay, much better alternatives.Apparently, the hotel was bought off from Crest, hence why not the standard of a holiday inn. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!!!
