just returned from adult only break stayed on yellow field excellent pitch lovely warden Lisa who was most helpful. Really enjoyed the entertainment thanks to Nathan who was terrific host and wow what a wonderful voice too my personal thanks go to Rob security at Tavern who is a great guy so helpful and always smiling if there is a team award I nominate Rob for it can't wait to return sept

User

Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning! We booked a pitch on a brown field for our tent and when we arrived all services were very quick, friendly and efficient. The whole weekend was a joy and special thanks to the man who works on the brown field (can’t remember your name sorry) who helped along with others to put our tent up in the wind! We were treated like family the whole weekend and there was an amazing atmosphere. The entertainment was original and fun, not the boring standard holiday camp disco you usually come to expect, and the food was lovely at rjs (a little expensive though would be my only quarrel)

User

We're currently stopping in the yellow touring field and unfortunately our Daughter fell and had a head injury at RJ's. The staff have been truly amazing about it all and it hasn't hopefully affected our holiday. The staff here are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. 2nd year visit and always a great experience. Thanks to Gary at head of security for getting us sorted and also Elliott for the first night late pitch arrival and hospital run, top guys a big thumbs up from us and Charlotte too...👍👍👍

User

We didn't use the amenities as we were camping and had our dogs with us and the resort bars aren't dog friendly so we went off site to the local dog friendly pubs, however, we were in the Brown Field, where the facilities were kept immaculately clean, the Wardens Steve and Lorraine were absolutely fantastic people who helped with any questions we had about the resort and local area, they went above and beyond their duties to make sure our stay was enjoyable, my friend who has never been camping before, came along with us and was so surprised at how clean everywhere was and she is already looking forward to next May!!! My husband and I are hopefully going to return in September for a week but only if the brown field is available .... if you do an employee of the week/month/season they should certainly win it, they are a credit to your resort.

User

Third time this year we've stayed here, the amenities are clean and well cared for, the staff are friendly and helpful. The park is near the beach, amusement arcades and right next door to fun park and splash centre. The bucket and spade on Brean park is great if you have little one's.

Just back from our first weekend at Golden Sands (29th June - 2nd July) and we had a fabulous time. As a single parent father to my young son I wanted a nice, relaxed, enjoyable first short holiday for my lad and HRU was perfect! From Tracey in Reception through to Andy and Dee on site, everybody was very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. We will certainly be returning in the future for many more holidays. Thank you to everybody who contributed to making our short break so much fun

Bringing the family back again in August booked hard standing yellow field. 5 Adults two teenagers and two dogs. Been coming for many years now. Used to bring our Chris too when he used to enjoy the fishing lake as well as the entertainment with the family (my son he passed away from a long illness but enjoyed Being at Unity Farm) and it’s a place where I still feel close to him at in spirit.

Really looking forward to August now the holidays all paid for and looking forward to the dog friendly bar too now.

Love the Country music festival very much to where just the hubby and me book for in Oct. Been learning the line dancing too.

Keep it up Unity fab entertainment and spacious pitches and swimming village.

**Golden Sands Review**

Me and my family have just got back today from our stay at Unity’s sister site Golden Sands.

We booked the park due to it being smaller, quieter, enough out of the way of the business of Brean but still being within walking distance to everything we needed (we are a family of 4 adults) and also due to the fact we could still use all the facilities of Unity if we wanted to.

We booked a standard caravan which was immaculately clean and modern - one of the nicest caravans we have stayed in and our wardens Andy and Dee were lovely.

I cant comment on much of the facilities as we didn’t really use many but we did use the arcade which was good and we also visited Sunshine Farm which was good too.

Would definitely recommend Golden Sands and Unity itself and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again

User

We love it here! Staff were lovely and helpful and everything you could want is within walking distance! It actually snowed this weekend but the kids loved it anyway. We went to the arcade on site and you can also get tickets for the onsite arcade in the arcade by the theme park so my son was able to put all of his tickets together to claim a fab prize! The prize shops are really good in both arcades! This place has everything for a weekend away as a family! Caravans are lovely and clean and each one has a good sized fenced off garden! Highly recommended

The only down side is that the children’s entertainment could have been a bit better.

One man in a pig suit did a few dances and the kids played 2 games and that was it. But I guess that’s because it’s not peak season at the moment.

User

First time visiting this resort, we were happily surprised at the free upgrade we had and how nice the caravan we were given to stay in was. Very modern and clean and had everything we needed. We came with our two children aged 4 and 2, there was plenty on site to keep them entertained we had a great day at the splash park and theme park. The beach is just across the road which is lovely and all sand. My only 2 complaints would be that we were staying in a caravan opposite the club house so it was very noisy at night past 12pm and also the food in RJ's is a bit over priced so would recommended looking elsewhere, there is other places to eat on site but we didn't use them.

User

Absolutely lovely holiday couldn't fault the staff so helpful even when my 2 year old ran from the caravan and we lost him briefly. Only couple faults was the caravan we was in was by a main road and kept getting woke up every morning at 4am cos of traffic. Also wasn't much brilliant entertainment at rjs. And one more thing was quite a long walk for my 2 year old to do to get to the park from red field reckon the should of been one nearer. Had a good holiday will defo think about booking again but only if I can have a caravan away from main road.

User

We stay here every year . Normally it’s great no problem . How ever first time this year staying on the yellow field .

Never again am I staying on it .

The toilets are awful . So dirty our hole stay. Noisy people behind us with foul mouths .

I will return but to a different field. Staff are lovely .

My family and myself are regulars to the area and The Tavern. But unfortunately tonight we have experienced poor service by the food and beverage manager. Our food was 35minutes late so i went to the food counter to enquire where I spoke to the manager who went to investigate - he told me due to the machine our order was not put throught to the kitchen. As working in a pub and hotel before i can understand that this can happen but you always explain and appollogise - I had an explanation but no appology. I was then told if we wanted our food we would have to wait another 20 mins. This time I am glad to report it did arrive on time by a lovely young lad who knew from the slip we had been waiting he was very professional - apologised and asked if I had/wanted to speak to the manager. I informed him I had and the response I had received and all the poor lad could do was appologise. I felt ever so sorry for him dealing with this when it should have been his manager. Everyone else 5* manager 3* (he did find out not pass it on).

User

We went to this site over Easter 2018 and the weather was terrible (not much the park can do about that). However we had a few complaints about our pitches that were avoidable with investment.

1 - the electric supply was pathetic...allegedly 10 amps but it tripped anytime both caravans on the same unit boiled water for a cuppa! We were assured that the supplies were independent but that could not be the case and was accepted as an issue at this time of year

2 - our friends were next to us and the could not get off their pitch without going on the mud or through a large deep puddle that struggled to drain away. The rain was constant but they should have been compensated

3 - as we were not allowed to pitch awnings on the grass (We had a hardstanding pitch) this meant that cars were blocking the narrow roads. I appreciate the need to look after the grass but it just created another issue

4 - the playground was water logged which didn't please the kids

I can see that the funding has gone to facilities near reception but it is obvious that this is at the expense of touring pitches. We paid a touch over £50 per night and I certainly would have expected better value for money!

User

Booked a four night stay in February half-term.

Staff were friendly and polite, the caravan was lovely, and the staff in the arcade/bowling place were great with the kids, but I'm afraid that didn't make up for the disappointment..

We chose this park mainly because the theme park looked good in the pictures on the website, and we liked that there would be a choice of places to eat. Paid an extra £40 to be guaranteed a spot on site, so we could be close to everything, and then an extra £36 (£9pp) for the entertainment passes that would get us discounted entry to the swimming pool and the theme park; even got an email the morning before we arrived telling us about how we'd be saving £20 per day on theme park admissions. Got there to find the theme park closed til March.

Second night there we thought we'd try the chippy for tea (tea for 2adults & 2kids + 4 coke's had cost me £45 at RJs the night before, the kids meal sausages were awful, and the kids meal chicken nuggets tasted of fish) - chip shop closed too.

Our last day there we went swimming, so thought we'd try The Tavern for tea as it's nearby and we weren't impressed with RJs, but that wasn't to be as The Tavern was closed.

This could've been a lovely holiday if things that were advertised were actually available for us to use.

User

Well what can I say what a horrible place with rude staff arrived took on a wild goose chase to caravan when it was right by reception absolutely nothing happening that night club shutting at 10 30 to 11pm wasn't allowed on other entertainment as country and western thing yet we've paid to be here too only good entertainment is weekend weeks are so boring farm is nothing like they advertise a couple of rabbits and small pony and u don't get to feed them bottles like they show on leaflet. told half price of fair on arrival to be told later only a very tiny discount so works out very expensive so unless u got 70£ for 3 people for wristbands several times then u stuck as it 2 dear tiny arcade shuts at 9 or when they feel like it was 8pm few times also the macbinws dont give u thickets u won .on-site food wasn't open hardly when it was shut too early also. it ok if u an oap I suppose but then my father 69 and even he said how boring it was also u are led to believe that all this is onsite it really isn't the only thing they have is one Crap bar that shuts 2 early with horrible staff and a tiny arcade everything else is. 20 minutes walk not good if u have little ones or something

User

We were booked to stay here for a week 18th of July to the following wednesday. Upon arrival, everything seemed great! the staff were friendly, gave us our welcome pack and marked where our caravan was. We privately hired our caravan through family, and had no complaints with that at all, it was lovely!

However, thats where most of the positives end. We had special passes that entitled us to a discount, and the only thing it ended up doing was letting us for free in RJ'S!

We were supposed to get a discount on swimming as per our pass stating: A family normally is just over £5 (3 people) , with our pass it was supposed to be less but we ended up being charged over 11!!! and thats after presenting our passes! so over double what it should have been. The pool was grotty and in dire need of the changing rooms being cleaned, the slides had never seen a good scrub and over all it was a bit of a let down considering we had just been robbed of 11 quid. Then we come to the breanplay! my husband yet again presented the pass to the staff member, (one adult is supposed to go free and a child is 3.25) ...what did they do? try to charge my husband double yet again!

The arcades were grotty, dirty and half of the games did not work- staff really miserable and evidently did not want to be there.

Now we get to the fairground! apart from one really lovely member of staff, no one else was friendly at all! on the rides my daughter did manage to get on (since half of them were unmanned, broken, shut down or not suitable for her height) the staff pretty much worked in a zombie like (d.g.a.f) state.

The beach.. oh dear god, the beach was the dirtiest, grottiest thing I have ever seen. We stayed about 30 minutes on the beach (closest section to the front of unity) before leaving in disgust.

We have stayed a total of 4 days, because quite frankly we couldn't tolerate any more of this sham of a holiday. Not only did we get hardly any sleep (we were right next to RJ;S) we had to put up with a boy racer using the road between the caravans as a racing track while blasting rather unsuitable music for a family venue .. whom by the way, we found out to be a STAFF member (we saw him working at The tavern !)

Even though the food was quite costly at RJ'S - i cant fault it, it was divine and so was the service, staff and entertainment. The one star is purely for rj's and the staff at reception.

If your looking for a very expensive holiday, but with very low class facilities then this place is for you. If not, i really urge you to go elsewhere. I am truly gutted that I wasted all that money on a holiday that I didn't even get to finish

User

Turned up only to be told no awnings to be put up. No phone call email or nothing from you. They did inform some people they said but had not got around to informing us. shocking way to be treated. Don't even care I have lot of things with me having 3 children and don't have anywhere to put anything. Happy to take £220 off us but not willing to help us. As we arrived late last night couldn't do anything but will definitely be leaving today to go back home. Thank you unity for ruining our Easter weekend and having 3 unhappy children . I do appreciate you can't guarantee the weather but as I have been told by staff it's been bad up hear all week and you had been ringing people to cancel since Monday I however have heard noting from you.

User

Absolute rip off. £23 for two adults to take a baby under 1 swimming for two minutes.

Rude unprofessional staff. From the owners to the girls on their phones behind the desk.

Won't be supporting this business anymore.

If you are using their facilities the parking should be free. End off. Never met such rude people in my life.

Absolute rip off. £23 for two adults to take a baby under 1 swimming for two minutes.

Rude unprofessional staff. From the owners to the girls on their phones behind the desk.

Won't be supporting this business anymore.

If you are using their facilities the parking should be free. End off. Never met such rude people in my life.

just returned from adult only break stayed on yellow field excellent pitch lovely warden Lisa who was most helpful.
