Wowsers In Your Trousers creates custom made-to-measure couture garments.
Good fashion is fun, fabulous and flattering. It makes you l♥ve your shape. There is no ideal. No 'perfect'. No 'should'. N And DEFINITELY no endless treks around changing rooms full of low-quality garments that are too short here, too tight there, falling off up here or won't get past your thighs.
I specialise in vintage styles (1950s are a personal favourite) but undertake work across a spectrum of influences and occasions including fabulous flouncy womenswear, clever dresses that grow with little girls and last for years, men's and women's tailoring for the office, uniforms for stylish salons, cosplay and children's wear.
All garments are made to fit perfectly and designed in collaboration with each customer based on personal style, occasion, purpose, what you want to enhance (and what you don't) and how you move. You won't get that on the high street.

I can also upcycle your own pieces into other garments or design something completely different such as soft toys, bunting, bags, hair accessories, blankets, cushion covers, etc.
I undertake alterations too, but where's the fun in that? ;)

Hannah had grand designs on her WED2B dress to make it her own after attending a another wedding and, 😱horror😱, the bride was wearing the same dress she'd bought!
Hannah wanted an open back and a tighter silhouette to show off her booty so I made her ideas reality, dotting the back with clear sequins and pearls to match the rest of her dress. We also changed the cups, lifted the shoulders, shortened it and added a bustle system for the evening.
... Hannah absolutely owned this dress in every sense as she tied the knot yesterday in Barcelona. 🍾🥂

Best thing about my job: my brides. This is my Omi (grandma) in the 1950s. I'm lucky enough to have some of her outfits, swimwear and stilettos from this era (and subsequent decades). She was by turns a privileged daughter of a wealthy bank director, an impoverished East Prussian refugee, a post-war German UK immigrant maligned by both her British husband's countrymen and her Germen brethren.
Throughout it all, she was always immaculately turned out but never afraid to dance on the tables or hoist up her penci...l skirt to do the splits on the park (just to show her grandchildren she still could). Oh, and she (with my mum, her daughter), taught me to sew. I can't think of a better style icon for day 6 of the Luxe Bride UK photo challenge.
